Thread: Pantyhose | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There is a pantyhose conforming figure at the following link provided by Ghastley: www.209.41.204/Poser/dlclothes.html (the link is case sensitive so make sure you capitalize the letter "P" in Poser)

The swap shop used to be at www.3dtrade.com but not sure about that link since I hadn't ever got a response to anything I was looking for and had to create my own. The disadvantages of what nesterenko is proposing is that while there could be thumbnails of stuff in a gallery there might not ever be any access to the stuff at all as alot of people are just "too busy" to drop what they're doing and make it available all at once. Given that they had time to post the thumbnail, it is conceivable that they had the time then to attatch the link to the zip file while doing so. Perhaps the idea might work out if the thumbnail had the url of the host site where the item could be downloaded. Not everyone has any "stuff" to "trade" and when someone posts something that even people who don't have anything in exchange can get it then it's truly sharing with the community as opposed to wanting something for it.

Poser4 comes with animals. Perhaps if you told us what kind of animals you're looking for we can be of help. Zygot sells many animal figures for Poser4 as does dedicated digital.

I'd be interested in this but have no idea how to contact Digital Artist (do you have a link or email address?0.

You can also select paste as background, move the camera so it's no longer viewing your actual figure and then save it. Read that in a thread here, too, but forgot which one. The circle will still show up but your figure will have all the rendered transparencies/textures viewable.

This sounds like a terrific idea. I for one would be glad to donate some of my stuff. I can only donate rendered images and do not wish to have my textures and props included on it since I will someday be making a CD of my own and don't want to have be a competitor in that genre.

I found the same problem. To circumvent, I went back to the thumbnails page, right-clicked on the item (using IE), and "saved target as" which then downloaded the file. Thanks, grey, for giving us the correct URL and for sharing these nifty props with us.

Offering to share with the public is NEVER in my opinion a waste of time. However, there are no objects for download at the specified address. Clicking on 3DObjects link only displays angelfire's equivalent of a non-existent site. I'm sure this is just a slight error and will be corrected and not an attempt to get "hits" through misrepresentation.

I used to be subscribed to Legume's poser newsgroup. I stayed with the group even when people asked for Poser to be posted. I even stayed when people posted their serial numbers for others to use. But when I saw someone blatently posting the full version of Poser (split into separate files) I decided I wanted no more part of that group and immediately unsubscribed. I know Legume has stated in posts that he doesn't want to censor what gets posted and he's welcome to take that stance. Because that stance allows people to pirate I didn't feel my presence to the group was needed any more and left.

I'm not flaming anyone and I totally agree that L.W.'s work is great and he's been doing a terrific job at helping everyone in the community. It's not illegal to install a program to more than one system as long as they aren't both running it at the same time. I own several machines and I have the same software on both of them. As long as I only run it on one machine at a time I am breaking no laws. It totally keeps me from having to de-install and re-install.

We don't really know if C.L. is being truthful in their explaination since we have no basis of "truthfulness" in the past. Someone told me they suspected that they were finding meshes that hadn't been copywrited so they could get them patented and sell them out from under the creator. There is no substantial proof to this allegation so we'll just have to wait for the experts to finish tracking it's background activities until they furnish us with the answers we all need. (and my name isn't Ed)

Ms-Word does have some limitations but there's an easy fix. Modify your CONFIG.SYS file and increase you FILES= and BUFFERS= statements. If they don't exist, create them and use at least 150 for files and 60 for buffers. This should give Word enough resources to handle a 30mb insertion assuming you have enough free hdd space for virtual memory (try cleaning out your windowstemp folder as well).

I don't really mind if Curious Labs wants to prevent their software from being pirated and this is a good way to accomplish that. What I would expect from them is to inform me of their intent to access the internet on the account I pay for and not just assume it to be theirs for the using. Had I been told up front this was there, I would then be responsible for the added use of my dial-up and everything would be okay. Perhaps I can now charge them for a portion of my monthly internet rates.

I have a friend who contacted Curious Labs about this thing. According to the friend, Curious Labs did in fact put the serial number checker to check wether or not there were more than one instance of the same serial number in use at the same time (provided more than one user is on the internet when using the program). Still waiting on more info promised. They also said they are looking into any problems that it may be causing but haven't found any "problem" so far. Well I for one sure do have a "problem" with it since I wasn't told the truth up front.
