Thread: How to contact Daz?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Current PC members DO get the extra discounts, we just don't get the 'bonus pack of 45 DAZ products worth over$500.' sigh We've supported the program from the beginning, have been spending our money in their store for months, and yay! the old PC members get....to spend more money! Eh, I don't mind. I signed up for the discounts, which is what I got. Can't really complain that the prodigal sons are being lavished with gifts when I've not been cheated.
Thread: Should I get Victoria 3 or Stephanie? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Steph is kind of my personal favorite. She's under-used, partly because her morphs are limited in their scope. But with a few custom tweaks, she's a knockout.
The link above is a Steph character package, Marcelia, is in my store. In the pic, she's the one in pink with the wild hair. The other three are of another Steph character package I'm working on.
I like her more because she's used less. So my pics don't have the 'same old same old' flavor.

Thread: Bikini Problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If it makes you feel any better, it's not a problem with being a noob. It's posette and her clothes. I tried it, too, with no morphs, and got the same result :-)
Thread: Bikini Problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
More questions :-) 4.03 patch? Any morphs on Posette? I know that some clothing doesn't conform well in extreme poses. Though it's usually tough to pose the hips oddly, unless you have some morphs applied. Sometimes it's gonna happen no matter what you do, because the model and the clothing are two different entities. I solve the problem by using a cameral angle that doesn't catch poke-throughs, making the poke-through part invisible if it's completely covered by cloth, or postwork.

It doesn't need your name. Only subscribe listname, as I've specified. Honest :-) The syntax error message says it needs your name, but the system is LYING. g A dozen other people subscribed successfully using just 'subscribe GildedGeckoNews', not including me with several addresses to test it. Glad it finally worked for you though! Thanks!
Thread: Quick contest | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, that's the syntax error. :-( Several people have used the auto-subscribe successfully this morning, so I know it works--IF the subscribe text is the only text in the body of the email. Some programs/systems add footer text or signatures to all outgoing mail. If you get the syntax error, or don't want to chance it, just IM or email me. I've had a few of both this morning, too.
Thread: Quick contest | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks! A few people have had trouble with the automatic subscribe. If you're at an address that automatically adds text to your email, like an advert at the bottom, or even a signature, it unfortunately won't work. The only text in the body of the email must be: subscribe GildedGeckoNews Otherwise you'll get a syntax error. If that happens, just IM or email me, and I'll add you manually. Grooves, Stacey
Thread: Yann hair Style in P5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Neftis hair is high-polygon count hair. Very system intensive. Yann Hair does take a long time to render, but Casual Hair takes even longer. On my machine, it takes about 20 minutes to render a 1000x1000 head shot using Casual Hair, slightly less time using Yann Hair.
Thread: Red and white | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You might be able to achieve it with textures before the render, rather than postwork after? Open up some clothing and hair texures in PhotoShop and colorize them to red, save them out and apply them in Poser. Same with a skin texture, colorize or gamma correct it lighter? I've not seen a Target commercial in a long time, so I'm going on memory. I'm seeing turquoisy kind of effect similar to the red somewhere in my memory chips, also. Didn't they do that, too? (ahem) Anything suggested above is questionable g

Yeah, I'm with Momcat. You'd better just reinstall her from the disc. It would be um... not-quite-legal... for someone to send you the files.
Thread: HELP REQUESTED -- figure scaling | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/freestuff.ez?Form.Contrib=Ian+Porter&Topsectionid=0
I'm told Poser 5 has a height gauge (imagine that!). For those of us with P4, there is a free caliper set in Renderosity freestuff by Ian Porter. Do a search for "caliper" and it's the only thing that comes up :-) Or follow the link above. Yes, you use the 'Scale' dial on the Body. And you get the clothes to fit by conforming the clothes and then scaling the clothes using the Body scale dial to the same percentage that you have V3 scaled to. Works fine. For me, anyway.Thread: V2 Soiree Skirt WIP | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
So glad to see V2 isn't forgotten! This is very nice! I can see it with a sparkly bustier top and a huge diamond necklace. Oooh, and a morph to make it a straight sheath skirt, too, with the same sweeping bottom!
