Actually the measurement is 1-1.618 and the theory is that it appears in all living things. The nautilus shell, how plants grow, roses and the human skeleton. Also great art and architecture has incorporated the theory as well. It's supposed to be natures perfectproportional harmoney and the closer things fit into the equation the more our brains perseve them as attractive. It's not so much about beauty but about the more something differse from the equation the brain says it's defective and you may not want to mate with it. I found out about it 2 years ago and use it daily in designs. It's also great for character designs heroes follow it exactley and villians not at all. Not sure if it's true or not but it is a fun theory and it has helped my designs quite a bit. There are even tools available for measuring and layouts. Amazon.com has a few books about the subject the best I've found is "The Power of Limits" by Gyorgy Doczi

Try keeping the feet flat footed and making the shin, foot and toes invisible. I also think this pair came with a morph for vickie thighs to narrow them for the boots.
Thread: Pro Pack genitals | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Under the menu go to figure, pull down to word genitailia if it's checked the show if not they don't. Scrolling to it should switch them on or off. If it doesn't work you could have a problem with the program. I'm using propak on a mac and it works for me.
Thread: Check out Boris in the market place! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
He reminds me of the actor from the star trek episode where they ran into a planet of kids. There was a disease that kicked in at puberty. The kid was there leader and a got the disease at the end I think. I'm thinking about getting Boris wish he had come out before friday I got muscle bound mike but I like all the face morphs with Boris. Money is tight so I may have to wait. But he is a very tempting addition to the store.
Thread: ps6 and osz problem | Forum: Photoshop
No but thanks for the suggestion. I found out that adobe is aware of the problem. The problem comes up if you launch photoshop without classic running. The workaround is to launch classic mode and then launch photoshop. Although I'm having a new problem (or maybe the origanal issue and I didn't relize it) which is keeping classic mode launched it seems to disappear after launch and the photoshop issue remains. Apparently photoshop has a lot of OSX issues because it has an OS in it's architectureand the two somehow conflict. I may go back to OS 9 and wait until adobe releases OSX ready software updates.

I have to disagree with soulhuntre. Keep in mind that poser is not a max plug-in and many of the users have other 3d programs like lighwave and cinema 4d. I use poser as a stand alone program for a lot of my images as do alot of other users. I want better rendering in the program. I don't need higher resolution figures they are already very hi res and better than what is needed for professional realistic renderings. What is really neeeded is better lighting and shading for realism. The new xbox games are concentrating on this and they look great. It is easier and faster to fool the eye with realistically rendered low res models than to accurately model the image to realistic levels. What poser needs is the addition specularity. I do agree with you on the clothing and colistion detection though it would make things much easier. The other features you mention I feel should be plug-ins addons or Pro pack ugrade features.
Thread: would anyone be interested in this character? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I agree with chailynne, release her without the texture. 2 reasons ... 1) smaller download size 2) i have too many textures to keep track of and I only really use 4-5 skin textures on my characters Most people seem to be really excited about her body shape and facial features and you can always release the texture later as an update or extra freebie.

Fantastic figure and I love the face count me as interested. I look forward to seeing her release and thanks for sharing the talent.
Thread: Muscle Mike - Any news? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Drax said he was due this week at Daz and that he would post a message when he was available. I was just at Daz and there was nothing so maybe he'll show up next week.

Some 3d programs allow you to create a mirrored image .obj file. Then yould have to edit the .hr2 so that it accessed the new .obj.
Thread: Anyone hear of a book "Digital Babes" ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think it's due this month. I remember reading about it while flipping through the gallery. Try wyrmaster's galleries I know he had a few images that were appearing in the book and I think I found the link off of one of his images or a comment attached. Try the images from Oct.

Thread: Micheal 2 preview | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My being undecided about muscle mike has nothing to to with the quality of Draxs work. I think what I've seen of muscle mike is great but with the economy the way it is and the fact that I was laid off last may and have had trouble finding full time employment I've been watching the cash flow. And if mike 2 is going to have all those muscle morphs built in I might wait, although if I start seeing muscle mike pictures I'll probably be tempted and grab it before Mike 2 is released. I was very excited about the muscle mike release I just wasn't ready for how impressed I'd be by the mike 2 picture. All in all what I like most about poser is all the choices I have for add-ons to the program and that's thanks to all those who share their work whether it's at Daz or here and whether it free or for a few hard earned dollars. I really enjoy going to the store and freestuff areas to see whats available it like xmas every week.
Thread: Micheal 2 preview | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Email from drax today said it should be up at Daz next week. He said he'd post a notice here when it was up. I'll have to see all the features and a few more Mike 2 previews before I decide about getting Muscle Mike. I wasn't to excited about Mike 2 but that preview shot looked like they really worked on the muscles. May not need both.
Thread: A simple question for the Mac users out there... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
9.1 on all 4 macs, OS 10.0 on ibook accasionally still bother by classic mood switching but I do love the os 10 finder and interface especially the doc and preview icons that show actual files. Just ordered os 10.1 to see improvements, but until poser and photoshop come out with os 10 upgrades or patches I'll probablly wait to switch over.
