I love this thread. As an american who teaches english to germans, I have a good grip of what is going on here. There is not only a language barrier issue at work, but a cultural one too. I think the biggest issue here is that a merchant has a set of terms (Allgemeingeschaeftsbedingungen (AGBs)) which isn't understandable in German let alone in English. So confusion galore there. 2nd, it seems that in every part of this thread its clear that a render made from textures purchased, or products purchased and paid for from a store or vendor -- wherever the country -- can be used for renders be they private or commercial. As long as the customer who bought said product isn't selling the original product directly or giving the viewers of the image(s) a way of stealing the purchased product. So as far as I can see from both sides, if the customer buying the product isn't allowed to use it for anything other than personal renders which cannot be shown to anyone -- then I would immediately return the product and demand a refund. As you are buying nothing which you are allowed to use. So why buy it? I spent weeks teaching a German national (who also is a vendor in the Poser community) to finally speak like an American/British Person and properly phrase things in a more relaxed way. This is not how Germans learn English - nor how they speak in real life. Thats what I meant by cultural differences. Most Germans have no command of two very very required tenses in the English language: without these they appear very very arrogant and absolute sometimes. Depending on the level of education and what nationality their English teacher had -- their practical English could be harsh. Therefore making it almost impossible to say what they really want to convey. So if you deal with Germans in the future and want to figure out a few things keep this in mind: 1) Present Simple (everything with Yes I do, No I don't) is the same to them as: 2) Present Continuous/Progressive (using to Be with ING) this is handled in Germany by using Present Simple and adding the words "at the moment" or "now" or "right now". Saying "I am paying for my dinner" is: "I pay for my dinner now" for a German. 3) Present Perfect instead of Present Simple: Germans don't know what Present Perfect is really used for, let alone that feelings are also associated with it. Americans love to say things in Present Perfect, "I have bought a new texture" -- it states that they have bought more than one in the past (maybe) and will most likely buy more in the future. Germans are always finite -- they don't understand the concept above, so their answer is: "I bought a texture." period. so toss away "present perfect and past perfect" and expect a past simple answer almost always, even thought thats not what they mean. So you can see, how an AGB (Terms & Conditions) could really be unreadable to a native speaker once translated from German to English. Hope you enjoyed the little lesson -- maybe it will help you someday when you read another German's writing. Greetings, Antonio (Yes, I live in Germany, speak German and English, and am a certified English Teacher in Germany) smile

No there was a Tommy morph. I still actually have it. I believe he was a freebie. I think it was created by Arduino. But I am not sure. I have to look thru my archives but I know I still have him. Write me back and let me know if you still would like him. Antonio

Thread: Weapons effects for poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Jepe's Movie Props has one complete set with gunfire and laser props etc. I suggest you look up the vendor JPETER and check out what he has done for gunfire and laser weapons. He has one set for stationary fire, and one that is completely good for animations in poser! Definately worth getting. Greetings, Antonio Here are the links to "WAR" from JPETER Jepes MovieProps 16 For Poser5 - WAR2 http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=27263 Jepes MovieProps 15 For Poser5 - WAR http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=27261 and for Laser stuff: Jepes Movie Props 18 - Lasers http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=28929

Thread: Hair Club for Men | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
neftis did some great men's hair, although most of it is really polygon heavy. The Daz men's hair is ok, but I personally haven't found many "men's hairstyles" out there that are really made for Male figures. I think that because the art-market is saturated with people making women's images that no one really thinks its worth it to make men's hair, as no one will buy it, except for the few who actually make male renders in the current day. Most male hair fits are for long hair, used in renders for book covers where all the men are majorly long haired. I have yet to find a good hair that looks even remotely real. The new Anders hair, (again from neftis) is really good, and new on DAZ. Some hair here on Renderosity is ok too, but still -- too long and really made for women. Most men's hair that was for middle aged guys was made for P4 or for Dork or for even the P3 male. Or M1 or M2. They look plastic and are in desperate need of an overhaul. Who knows, maybe someone will finally take notice that a market niche is here with regard to Men's hair. I have been trying hard to illustrate that on MalePoserotica and no one really seems to be interested, just slap on some women's hairstyle and call it medeval. Whatever floats your collective boat. Thread: Looking for boys clothes | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Luke has a complete clothing set, plus there is a clothing set for the YT (Young Teens) that is for skaters etc. However, with Wardrobe Wizard you can make David's clothing or M3's clothing fit Luke or Matt. Cheers, Antonio

Another way to do it is get SteamZ from DAZ it is one of the new prop sets from JPeter (Jepe), this or ThrowZ could most likely help you. A new set called FlameZ is due out anyday now, they are easy to use, and will give you exactly the effect you want without muss or fuss. Just a thought. Antonio

Thread: What the heck is happening here? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have seen this before.... but it happened before with conforming stuff. One time I managed to blow D3 to smithereens on the screen very similarly to that. When I conformed the Satanica_Gens to him! Then suddenly there was this very elongated and smeared D3 on the screen from one end of the screen to the other. Double check that parenting is not doing something unexpected and that its not conforming something wrongly. The best thing to do is remove the panties and save your scene once, close it, then restart Poser and then reload then try again with the Panties. I assume you used Conform (if they were a figure), if this happens again, I'd suggest asking the person who made the panties to see if there was an update. Greetings, Antonio

I have the one major Harry Potter character morph for David 3.0 (D3), and am working on some others as well. There is also a morph of Draco Malfoy, and David Thewliss' character Remus Lupin.
The Snape morphs are available from Ernyoka1 (Trekkiegrrrl) on here in the freestuff I believe for both ApolloMax and M3.
There will be some new props available soon, as I am working on a series of magic wands which will be released as freestuff either here or at my site.
My one Potter FC2 is however, from Order of the Phoenix (book 5) so Harry is over 16 at that point, and my newest is from book 7, so Harry is over 18 more like 21.
If you are looking to do Harry Potter stuff in the first years then the clothing sets for HP at Poserworld are pretty good, however the texturing is a bit messy at the seams.
Xena made some Mil figure Capes that work really well, and you can texture them quite well with the templates provided.
And since the new HP4 Goblet of Fire film came out, using the Mildragon 2 is even more fun!
Greetings
Antonio

Thread: Response to prior thread about product restrictions (adult theme) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, like I said in the main message, I do not want to start flame wars here, I only wanted to make it clear that here where I live, in Germany (Europe) the rules for selling are different from those in the United States. I did live in the United States a long time ago, and do know a bit of what I am talking about, and can prove everything I say. I learned that it is important to be up front and honest at all times, and don't want to be flamed for being that. PayPal is one of the most widely used purchasing methods for many people from the United States and Europe. Many poser people I know told me that if I didn't have PayPal for my store they couldn't buy anything from me, no matter how great the stuff was that I was selling. This is a bit odd to me, considering that alot of people use their credit cards to fill their PayPal accounts, so why not use the card directly? But its not my place to figure out how and why people bank the way they do. PayPal and EBay control much of the financial world in the background and set the rules for banking internationally as well. Visa has recently set rules for "adult products" and many "adult" sites have been killed on the web via the Visa decision. Considering that "sex sells" and "religion" doesn't sell anything -- I get confused as to how they think they are going to stay financially alive in the future. But that's their decision. However, I cannot use PayPal, and I can only sell my products via either money transfer, credit cards and instant transactions. I have about 20 European banks which are more than happy to handle my transactions, and they only care that I am selling binary things via download. What they are doesn't interest them at all... It basically comes down to their cut in the sales. Thats business. I'm looking for vendors who want to relax and sell their stuff that they cannot sell here, and I MUST STATE -- FOR THE RECORD -- I will not be any competition to Renderosity -- in fact, I have been supporting Renderosity vendors for the past 2 years by linking their stores and products from my site, for people who are looking for cool stuff that they can use for their "male themed" renders. Without asking for a thing in return. I like the community we have and have been trying to give back to it in a big way for a long time. Hope that now I can do that. Greetings, and Happy New Year, Antonio

Thread: Need Bush Hair | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Could someone delete 90% of this thread, and get back to the poor person's question about hair and modeling a figure? I have a question? Why are using P4 male or whatever that figure is to make the Bush Jr.? You could have much better luck with either D3 (versatile face morphing) or M3. Proof that David (D3) is versatile for morphing faces you can see in the MovieMen series by JPeter here on Rosity. Then you could find hair in the hair room and attempt to do the hair, however the Agent Hair is a good suggestion. Good luck with your figure. Antonio

Thread: Tracing Hackers to their sources... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Alot of the hacking on my site went thru the software that I am using, which is available for free. Although the software was recently updated for protection against hackers, there is apparently still a serious hole in it that people who have nothing better to do than to write tons of software routines and send them thru the internet to wipe out websites have been able to avail themselves to. I spoke to my internet provider (DOMAINFACTORY.DE) and they of course told me it was something I did.... Thats the standard answer of ISPs around the world to get out of doing any work. I asked them how it was possible to place files in sections of THEIR PROTECTED areas which I have NO ACCESS to, and then to remove them (WITH NO ACCESS?) and how THIS could be my fault... they didn't answer. My solution to the problem was to first save ALL the hacker documents, post them and the information to the software developer's site... so they could look at the hack. Then to remove it all from my site. (However, the hacker made it impossible to remove somehow...) I had to beg the Tech Support people to remove it, since even with Admin priveledges I still could not remove any of the hackers directories... I could however rename them. Still the ISP said it was something I did wrong. Going to another provider would be EXPENSIVE and time consuming, so I removed the offensive stuff, and setup the site without the Forums Software, which was where the culprit did the hacking. Thanks to Mizrael, I setup appropriate code and stops to keep hackers from that group from coming back... However, they are not the only ones in the world who have attacked my site successfully. These used a US IP address to do it, others have used Brasilian ones. I cannot block all of Brasil just because of a re-routed IP attack. So I will have to keep vigilance and watch my site. Thanks to all who have cared enough to help me keep MalePoserotica alive and kicking. Antonio MalePoserotica
