I have to agree with the others, I don't think I would feel safe in using my credit card on Facebook, for anything. Not any time in the near future at least.
But since I'm usually drawn to the weird and horrific (like gawking at a traffic accident) I usually spend some time on FB to see which one of my friends' friends' friends are having a bowel movement, and now I can find out the exact location where they are having one too!
BTW, for all my friends on Facebook, sorry, you have already missed my bowel movement for the day. And this thread/post is taking an extremely ugly turn.....please continue as you were!

Thread: Moley, moley, moley.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Luckily not too many people have such an adverse reaction to facial moles as I have. My wife (who thankfully doesn't have any facial moles) thinks I need therapy. LOL! Whenever someone comes on the TV, I'll have to point out the mole and say "Look at that thing!", and she'll just roll her eyes and say, "Yes dear...."

I wonder what's REALLY in the paint can full of "Omnipotence"?
(probably just paint)
Quote from Q (from Star Trek:TNG): I'm not good in groups. It's difficult to work in a group when you're omnipotent.
Thread: Is Poser suffering from big corporate take over? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Okay so I guess part of the problem with the contest is that some of you are camera shy and some of you are just shy of one camera.
And aeilkema you are correct about the lack of improvements, enhancements and new features.
But again, that could be that be part of the corporate "lost in the shuffle" syndrome.
If it were still a home-grown software with a small DEDICATED staff of designers and code writers, I think we would be seeing more of those enhancements and fixes. Along with fresh new ideas.
I get the feeling that they just want to push the next version out the door to make some more money. And as was already mentioned, not even fixing the older versions first, just moving on to the next version with a minimal amount of hoopla advertising.

Thread: buying from rendo | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm sure there will be disgruntled customers anywhere you go, whether or not that accurately reflects on the business is hard to tell. As NoelCan claimed, I have also been purchasing from Renderosity for years and have literally spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars here, and I can't think of a single complaint.
Can you be more specific with the "bad things" you have heard about buying here, maybe someone can address those specific concerns?
Thread: New pose 8 figures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I admit I haven't spent much time tweaking the new P8 figures, but my first impression is that the female is kind of unattractive and masculine looking. Hopefully we'll see some merchant support for a make-over.
Victoria is just such a hard act to follow.
Thread: Poser 8 advertised! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh and btw, Mike Campau who did the artwork on the Poser 8 image is a graphic artist that runs a company called SeventhStreet Studios. I noticed one of his renderings on his site looks kind of similar to that of the Poser 8 female:

If someone wants to contact him and maybe get the real scoop, there's an email address to write to. I'm too chicken to do it myself. :scared:

Dang! I knew I shouldn't have disassembled my time machine last week. Now I can't fast forward in time and avoid the agonizing wait!
The sad part is, I'm mostly using Daz Studio now....but I'm still gonna get the new version of Poser, just because it's there. (like a mountain that has to be climbed)
Thread: Creating multiple prop instances from one OBJ | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I ended up going with Dr Geep's suggestion, but thank you to everyone else that made helpful suggestions.
It's funny how you can use a program for years (I've had it since Poser 1 and never missed a release) and still not know some of the basic simple things it can do. Using the subset to group props was just what I needed.
Live and learn I guess....
Thanks,
Lee

Quote - pzrite: Those scene look nice. Sorry if I sounded harsh. I have just been burned by products developed by none Poser users and sold as Poser content...
No problem, that's why I mentioned in my past few posts that I'm an "oldie" asking "newbie" questions.
I just turned 47 today, and I realize the older I get, the more I forget.
So far it's taken me a couple of months to finish my latest project. When I was 10 years younger, I could have finished it in a couple of weeks!
Ah well, thanks again for your advice.

Quote - You could position them in Poser, save an individual prop file from each,
and then edit them together into the form as in my sample. The important
parts for the multiple file are the OBJ refs at top and the "doc" section at bottom.
That seems like the easiest way to do this so far. I think I'll give it a try when I get home from work tonight. Thanks!
And thanks for all the other suggestions, I'll probably be trying those as well.
Momodot: I already have several products on the Marketplace (for a few years now), I just haven't created any in awhile and am trying something new (with the chairs) that I haven't done before.
Now that I think of it, I have done this before but on a smaller scale. I've had a studio TV camera object and created three props of the same object in different positions. But I've never done something where I would have 10 props (from the same obj) in one prop preset.
EDIT: Momodot: You're last suggestion seems like a good idea as well. Thanks.
You guys are just throwing suggestions at me too fast for me to keep up! LOL!

Quote - If you want, say, four chairs from one OBJ, you can do this in the PP2 file easily enough.
The trick is to duplicate the OBJ reference in the prop file.
So would the positioning of the chairs be done by moving them within Poser or manually edited with a text editor in the PP2 file?
Thread: Creating multiple prop instances from one OBJ | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, I'd like to set it up where you can click on a library prop where it would load multiple instances of the chair obj at predefined places (like around the table) yet the chairs could be moved independently after they were inserted into the scene.
I'm creating a product for the Marketplace and I'd like to make it easy for the user to be able to load various chairs in predefined places. So they won't have to load one at a time and move each one to the correct position.
EDIT: Sorry Momodot, I posted this before I read your response. Would what you recommend work with what I'm trying to do?
