Patricia, "Depending on the date you bought the Male Pak, some of these folders may not be present on your computer." As quoted, some folders/files may not exist on your machine. Most were created by the original installer. The folder/files in the face library were created by an update (which is no longer applicable). The new installer Ryan has been contacting everyone who purchased the MalePak about, is a replacement for the original installer... The original one is safe to delete along with the files it created once you have downloaded the replacement. -Rob
Thread: V3 and Daz's Dial Cleaner Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The empty dials are place holders for delta injection. The way delta injection works, each and every morph Victoria 3 has must first have a dedicated channel stored in the cr2 before the delta information can be sent to it via INJ/REM poses. Think of it more as delta replacement... INJ poses replace an empty list of deltas with a list of actual deltas, REM poses do the opposite... replacing an actual list with an empty one.
The dials are labeled "-" to signify that there is currently no usable information stored within them (in the event that they become visible, which they do when saved). It isn't for lack of trying to hide them, really... we would have rather done so, and tried to. Problem is, Poser didn't like anything we tried. Manual editing of the code worked fine, but when Poser saves a file [cr2/pz3], it writes code into the files that force visibility when the file is read again... regardless of what is done with the 'hidden' flag. DialCleaner's sole reason for existence is to parse a file [cr2/pz3] and remove the offending code, that Poser adds.
Each time you save a file [cr2/pz3] from Poser... Poser will write the code, again. Each time you run it through DialCleaner(v095), DC will strip the code, again. We can't change the way Poser writes files, but we can try and work around it... which is what we're doing with DC.
DialCleaner v090 parsed files a little differently than v095. A particular sequence of actions within Poser, when saving files, would cause a portion of the code that DC090 looked for to change... causing DC090 to ignore channels that it would otherwise clean. DC095 doesn't bother with the problem code and as a result cleans like it was intended. If the version you are using isn't 095, update and try it again. If you still have problems, let us [DAZ] know... we are more than willing to make sure our products work the way we intended.

Thread: V3 Male Pak Service Pak - Prob | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Folks, it seems as though the original product installers that were made live were the incorrect ones. I, for one, am very sorry [frustrated?] this happened. The update you all seem to be having problems with was built based on the installer that should've been posted (which, for some reason, got lost in the shuffle). The correct installer shortened the file names of the source files (in the libraries/!DAZ/Victoria 3/MalePak folder) by removing "PBM", leaving the remaining characters. Pre-release (intended) versions had "PBM" in the file names but were then removed due to concerns for Mac users (file reference string length)... while still trying to be consistent in file naming. Because most of the files in the male pack are affected by this mix-up, we will be distributing a new installer with all of the correct files to all those who have purchased... not as an update, rather as a replacement.
Again, our apologies... Ryan will be in contact with you.

who3d,
"There was a UVS SR release as well?"
The minor changes to the UVs are noted as part of SR1, and were made available at the same time.
"Question. Months pass. How does one tell which SR1 one has installed?"
Well, if you've forgotten what you installed, I can think of a couple options off the top of my head:
Jackson,
Yes, but before you do... download the update for the male pak.

PabloS,
Is the figure built from spun up DAZ morphs? If so... take a look at the URLs above. ;) Both of my posts mention something that would make such a task extremely easy.

Thread: V3 Male Pak Service Pak - Prob | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
tasquah,
Using the utility I mentioned, files created by DAZ's production department will make direct calls to the "!DAZ" directory from here on out (as will previously released DAZ content utilizing the technology, via updates; the male pak being the only DAZ created product requiring such an update, post V3 SR1.1). The purpose of said utility is to automate the manipulation of files and insert direct calls. For the sake of consistency/continuity, we will continue to install with the same methods used for the V3 product... only, with the latest update(s) installed, the directories can be renamed/rearranged/moved/etc as the user sees fit.
This topic has been discussed with our brokering department; with a strong suggestion from myself that it become a requirement for brokers as a "standard" 3rd generation millennium figure compatibility. The result of our discussion being that brokers will be encouraged by our brokering department to comply with this "standard".
Our intention is to release the mentioned python utility (PC/Mac compatible) as a user/developer tool once a couple of minor bugs have been ironed out and a quick "how-to" is written. Time-frame isn't absolute, but it should be fairly soon.
Staby,
The production department does not use Poser5, so I cannot speak from my own actions... but tech support now does and Ryan will be swinging by to address that particular issue once he gets a free minute.
My understanding is that the "!DAZ" directory needs to be local to each version of Poser (to prevent long, possibly never, loading times), while the library files themselves can be located in a linked runtime. Again, this is speculation based on the presumed logic behind how Poser5 locates files (beginning in its own runtime first, then linked ones).
For all interested,
The update has been corrected and is ready for download.

Here is the latest info (soon to be accessible from the product pages).
Victoria 3 SR1.1
SR1.1 includes all applicable changes from SR1 (you do NOT need SR1 in order
to install SR1.1).
The SR1.1 files are named identically to and will replace their counterpart
files from SR1.
All changes to the Victoria 3 CR2 and the V3 BLANK CR2 from V3 SR1 remain the
same except as follows:

Thread: Victoria 3 service pack 1.1.1. 30th of January ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've just finished speaking to those responsible for making the update live... the information regarding the update (1.1) will be changed to reflect the correct information.
Each SR1.1 (base/head morphs/body morphs) contains all files in their respective SR1 along with changes. All changes to the Victoria 3 CR2 and the V3 BLANK CR2 from V3 SR1 remain the same except as follows:
Additional joint corrections have been made on the Thigh and Buttock joints. (Note: measures were taken to ensure that all V3 clothing already selling in our Store will still be 100% compatible with these newest joint modifications)
Some of the Scale Zones for various body groups have been modified to function in a fully adjustable and usable manner, since the Victoria 3 SR1.
Each of the !V3 All Morph INJ/REM poses have been modified so that they look to the source files in the libraries/!DAZ directory. This accomplishes 2 things. First, this allows the Pose directories for each of the Morph Injection/Remove poses to be moved or renamed (without causing the !V3 All Morph INJ/REM poses to cease functioning). The second is that the !V3 All Morph INJ/REM poses are now significantly quicker in adding or removing their respective morphs.
Note: Any Victoria 3 characters/files that have been distributed in Pose format will continue to be fully compatible with this latest Victoria 3 Service Release. Any Victoria 3 characters/files that have been distributed in CR2 format will not take advantage of these latest changes.

Thread: V3 Male Pak Service Pak - Prob | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I apologize for the problems. Please, save yourself the frustration and wait until tomorrow [Monday, Feb. 3, MST] to download/apply the update. I'll reply again to this thread once the update has been replaced.
The update files were generated with a python utility I've been writing that parses a cr2/pz2/fc2 and automates creation of 3rd generation Millennium figure poses (including the insertion of readScript calls - for both standard and add-on packs). Over the weekend I've been going back through the syntax and simplifying/commenting it. Anyway, after seeing this thread I took a look at the functions that deal with the male morph pak and found a line that was commented out that shouldn't have been (I must have forgotten to de-comment it after testing another part of one of the other functions). I've since corrected it and run the offending files through again. Problems are gone now, but installers will need to be built at the office tomorrow. Again, my apologies.
The aim of the update is to remove expressions from the character faces (and the time required to load the individual morphs for those expressions). The update is also intended to speed character face loading (by direct links to files in the "!DAZ" folder vice the pose library) and by redirecting readScript calls... allow users to move/rename the default [V3] pose folders (in conjunction with the V3 SR1.1).

Thread: Oh boy! Material orders again - how to trick poser into not adding a child? | Forum: Poser Technical
This is from a quick python utility I wrote that parses an obj and builds a list of unique materials. Once the list is built, it sorts the list and inserts it above the list of verts...
Below is a snippet from running Victoria 3 through it.
To see what it does, insert the following at the top of the obj...
g Materials
usemtl EyeSocket
usemtl Eyebrows
usemtl Eyelashes
usemtl Fingernails
usemtl Gums
usemtl InnerMouth
usemtl LCornea
usemtl LEyewhite
usemtl LIris
usemtl LPupil
usemtl Lacrimal
usemtl Lips
usemtl Nipples
usemtl Nostrils
usemtl PubicHair
usemtl RCornea
usemtl REyewhite
usemtl RIris
usemtl RPupil
usemtl SkinArm
usemtl SkinFeet
usemtl SkinForearm
usemtl SkinHand
usemtl SkinHead
usemtl SkinHip
usemtl SkinLeg
usemtl SkinNeck
usemtl SkinScalp
usemtl SkinTorso
usemtl Teeth
usemtl Toenails
usemtl Tongue
Loading from a cr2, in pro pack it works fine (no geom .rsr to contend with), the list shows up as expected within the material editor. But, standard p4 could care less. Importing the obj (in either standard or pro pack) results in the list being the inverse of the ordered list (above) in the obj.
Inspecting the associated geom .rsr shows the list as:
SkinTorso
Nipples
SkinNeck
SkinHip
SkinFeet
SkinLeg
Toenails
SkinForearm
SkinArm
SkinHand
Fingernails
SkinHead
SkinScalp
Lips
EyeSocket
InnerMouth
Nostrils
Lacrimal
Eyelashes
Eyebrows
Teeth
Gums
LCornea
LEyewhite
LPupil
LIris
RCornea
REyewhite
RPupil
RIris
Tongue
PubicHair
Which is the order they appear in the obj (sans - inserted ordered list). Still, standard P4 doesn't follow this list either.

Thread: V3 full body morphs | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"I have previously applied all the morphs to the figure and saved it. It is when I try to apply a pose for example the pregnancy pose that things appear to go wrong, the figure doesn't change and then the application window locks up :o/"
If you've "already applied all the morphs to the figure and saved it", there is no need to inject the morph again. The INJ poses (+) (eg. pregnancy) only inject the deltas and unhide the associated channel(s) for the morph. The reason "the figure doesn't change" is because the INJ/REM poses do not set a value; you must do that from the channel.
When "the application window locks up", have you waited any length of time (up to a couple minutes) to see if it is that the injection is being applied or do you try and immediately manipulate the figure?

Thread: Victoria 3 Male Pak not working, please help | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The body morph pak is not needed for the male morph pak to work. What is needed are the sr1 updates (only two are actually "needed", the base and the head, but all are recommended). The male morph pak loads [injects] into channels that do not exist in the pre-sr1 cr2, thus the need for the sr1 (blue circle) cr2. The male pak head poses, in addition to a few added by the male pak, call morphs that are only included in the head morphs pak. Also called are files included in the sr1 update for the head morphs pak, morphs that do not exist in the pre-sr1 distribution.

Thread: V2 to V3 uv | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"I tried to remap V2 to take V3 textures but it does not work."
And it shouldn't. We never intended for V2 to take V3 maps... that is not what the .uvs files are provided for.
"Remapping the other way round - V3 to take V2 textures works fine..."
Which is our intention; they are for remapping V3 to accept V2 textures. Both uvs files have V2 type UVs with V3 facet structure. The one with "mat" in the name includes material assignment as well.

Marque,
Are you importing the .uvs file from "RuntimeV3 UVS..." (NOT UVs from the blMilWom_V3_V2.obj in Geometries)?
