Since you have B5, why not get V4 and extend your capabilities? ..Because I usually begin with a new mesh I've just made and build a scene around it, I start with both programs simultaneously until I can see which has the right 'look' for that given subject. Despite needing more convenience in some operations, I much prefer Vue to Bryce - but with proficiency in both your scope for effective results is so much wider.

thanks for the info - i've put it into the osity wish thread, and will send direct to e-on too - with its non-persistent cookie yahoo is too much effort to use.

Shackle the vob preview creation camera to the main view camera so what you see when you save as vob is what you'll see in the object preview window when loading a vob object.
Thread: vob creation problem | Forum: Vue
I'm 4.05.02 on w98v1, and maybe I should have made my syntax less twisted. It's the vob preview picture you get once you've created a vob and go to object|load to see the preview you just made. It isn't the same view as what you see in main window where you've posed for best view. It's irky because presentation is an important part of the creation to this old toad.It seems like it couldn't be hard for e-on's coders to just shackle it to the main camera so we could have control of the presentation ??

jmo something in the foreground that is reacting to whatever's back there would strengthen whatever mood you want to strike.

whew - just got the 'you have been accepted' mail, but it looks more involved than a space shuttle check list. Think I'll start lobbying at source forge for an open source mesh browser
Thread: Good news for Paypal users! | Forum: Vue
Paypal takes your plastic, but if your package is lost in shipment or you're buying from a shifty company you have absolutely none of the protections that come from buying through secure systems such as kagi. My sister works for eBay, and she says the daily number of paypal related complaints is quite large.

Nice stuff! I like your gallery - there's not only good humor in the fish warning, but a real nice golf ball and a very deluxe fish!

I'm high-ping, but it looks like you've designed it to be a fast site - not like those who think they have to demonstrate every flash feature on every page. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it - and thanks! -mike
Thread: another bug? | Forum: Vue
Varian: Yep - create with a different name is no problem.
Guitta: Ouch - there goes that theory - so maybe its in W98?
.. I sent the info to e-on, but I thought I should mention it here so if anyone else gets
the problem they'll not waste time vexing over it and just use a no-f name for exports
Thread: another bug? | Forum: Vue
Renaming both the obj and mat files doesn't seem to fix it. Both of us on two different machines get the message 'unable to read,' and we are a continent apart. Guitta's having no problem suggests its in the English language module? Fortunately, the user fix is simple :)
