the parameter that has the most influence on the fog is in the "Fog control" the dial "fog depth" set this to a value from 10 to 20( image done with 12) higher values make the fog top softer and more wavy,lower give a shaper top. Than ajust your fog hight( next dial) than choose a transmap ( i used whispy.trans here) none of the other parameters used.

you fing the transmaps in Runtime/textures/Nerdstuff/fog/... image shows the setup in p5 matroom

first of all apply one of the transmaps to the fog.it normally loads with none.( think in the beginning the came without matposes and the matsettings must be done manually) and ernyoka1 it depends much on light and the whole setting is a bit tricky and needs a bit of trial and error. the whole thing is adjusted by the body part " fog control" value for fog depth from 10 to 20 worked best for me and than set the fog hight as you like

for me it was realy worth installing. poser seems to run much smoother and in most cases faster.
