Was this person also selling AMDs? Was he even selling P4s? What was he NOT selling worries me. It doesnt sound like you were in a shop that didnt have a lot of old stock to delete.

I step out of my Police-Box in August. As is normal, Im a week early, Poser 5 for Mac is LATE-AUGUST like they wrote in the March 5 release. After eight days of ruc-sacking and ground sheeting I get to see our Poser 5. Impressed, two weeks latter I point into the distance behind the crowd and shout Blimey,look at that!!. As the assembled mass turn to look I jump back into my Police-Box and disappear. October of the same year I drag the last two feet of my scarf out of the PB door. Im a Scarf, overcoat and frizzy hair time-and-space traveller and I bribe my way using jelly-babies to the head of the queue at the DAZ factory. Four days latter (I,m getting better at this) I have my long awaited (!) copy os Poser 5 for Mac, at 74 percent off. There is a minutes silence in remembrance of Curious Labs.

The new version of Poser should ideally have some sort of support for graphics cards, dual processors, and the new 64-bit Intel 970 thingies. (This may have already happened, but its now called DAZ3D) Incidentally, if these new INtell chips become the successful bidder, then, what are we going to call out Macs? .

These bits always seem to come along whenever I am considering a Pc and going dual-platform in-house. Problem with this one is Ive actually put in the order and its coming next week. Wednesdays announcement will likely be the earth-shattering news that Curious Labs are WORKING ON p5 for OSX, and here was us thinking DAZ3D was vapour. (The second computer will be a 2Gb AMD, I wont be putting P5 on it)

The P4s seem to be more expensive than the AMDs but with less speed, is that because we're paying to have P4 written on the chip?

What if it's only used for the cloth, gravity and collision detection? Also... can more than one file be rendered at a time? does it need more than 384mb of DDR ram? and could DAZ with their DAZ 3D be responsible for this whole mess? (Ps - having read this far, please answer only questions 1 to 3, not the last one)
