Thanks for the tip! I went to the page and checked over everything and it looked so compelling that I downloaded it. I've been wanting to try creating my own models. Another program to learn (sigh)!

Believe it or not, I ALWAYS get inspiration by looking at what other people have done. Not to copy, but to get my own angle on a particular theme that interests me. I don't just look at art done in the 3D program of my choice (Vue), but I look at others as well, 3D Studio Max, Lightwave (now there is an intriguing program!), WCS, World Builder, even Bryce (even tho it doesn't appeal to me, some folks really have a way with it). Any 3D program can give me great inspiration. I visit as many galleries as I can with the time I've got and I almost always come up with something fresh that I haddn't thought of doing.

I've got just the thing...a Canoma pub. You can get it a www.poserworld.com in their Canoma section. It's a 4-sided model too. I used it in my Vue Canoma object test...in the Vue art gallery. You should find it here: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=12125&Start=1&Sectionid=3&WhatsNew=Yes Go and have a look and see if it's something you might want.

The reflections in the windows in the lower left are off camera...the dim reflections of windows there are showing thru the building from the other side of it I believe as I have nothing really in front of the building off camera :)

I've had the same problem unfortunately, while trying to map a snow material to slanted cylinders. If you have too many overlapping you get these really unpleasant blue spots. I've never found a way around it. Same happens when I try to map clouds to spheres.
