Been trying the foot print thing myself. You seemed to have achieved success with it. I've been trying it on a sand dune and your right it's hard to eliminate the stamped look. Oh by the way greetings everybody I'm new to Vue.

Actually you can move both eyes at once. Just select point at, on the object menu. I use the auxillary cammera but doesn't matter as long as there pointing at the same thing. Then rotate that puppy to where ever you like and both eyes will track it. As for grapping the wrong thing it can happen. If your a real stickler there is a menu for each figures component parts. You can move the models parts around by pushing and pulling with the mouse or use the dials. It's just a matter of preference. Personaly I don't think 3D gets any easier than Poser but try the demo and decide for your self.

Thanks guys. the problem I'm having with it is should I make it conforming? Right now the Plate is just parented. Conforming would make posing easier but plate armor shouldn't bend. What do you think?

Thread: Texture mapping question. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When you got through creating the texture map in UVmapper did you save the model? If you didn't save the model the texture map wont work. Also in Poser,in the material editor, make sure your assigning the texture to the the right part of the object. Not the preview or something. As far as Tif files goe I've never had any problem with them in Poser4. hope this helps

Yes you have to save the model in UVmapper once your through creating the template. This applies the new UV coordinates to the model.

If you did not join or weld the different parts to your crown you should be able to select them in UVmapper by going to the edit menu and select by group. Then edit menu assign to material. I would recommend especially on complex models assigning materials in Poser using the grouping tool. This lets you see the sub object in 3d as opposed to a flattened out mesh in UVmapper. Then go into UVmapper and create your template.

Thread: PHI......UV Mapper woes... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
PhilC is right about not joining the wheels. If you start over. I sugest assigning texture groups in Poser before going into UVmapper. You can do this with the grouping tool. The reason I say this is that Poser high lights the selected sub-object while using the Grouping tool. This way you can see what your dealing with. Then export into UVmapper and lay out your template. Really speeds up the process with complex models. Hope this helps

They say "Real World Bryce" is very good. Not sure about any for Poser. They're a lot of good tutorials out there though for both. Good luck.

I'm using Rhino 1.0 Bloodsong. Waiting for version 2 to upgrade. I did save it as a prop before exporting. Now that you mention, it came back into Rhino upright and usually anything upright in Poser isn't in Rhino. I'm gonna go try this. Many thanks.
