Or Zooooooon as we call it in FL. ;P My take on it is if I were a professional with the best equipement, I'd shoot in RAW or TIFF. But I don't have a DSLR and limited card storage space. I post mainly on the web and the pictures I do print don't go in any real world galleries (yet). My concession is I shoot with the highest possible quality JPEG and immeadiately save as a Photoshop file when I start working with it. It only becomes a JPEG again when I "save for web." That's my method and I'm sticking to it, for now. --Kort

I forgot to expose for the highlights. The result, blown out banks, or B.O.B. as they refer to it in the International Riverbank Photographers Group) (I.R.P.G).

Thanks for explaining, it certainly puts the image in perspective! You are very brave to expose a piece of your darker side like this, but cyn is right, you are most definately not alone! I know a number of people who experience vary amounts of abuse as children, and they either find a way to exercise those demons or it ruins their lives. In regards to the image, while I think it is very powerful, I don't see it as specific enough to be a commentary for child abuse. It could be used for any number of circustances where one feels alone, isolated, and struggling towards the light. But maybe that is what you want. Do you see what I mean? (zoon)

If it makes you feel better Cyn, I still have a 56K connection at home. It it weren't for our T2 connection at work I doubt I'd see as much on RR as I do. I don't know how you manage it. :)
