For Gawain, I tried it on a mac 7500 with a G4-400 upgrade card running 10.3.8 with only 500 megs of ram and it works fine. It's not lightening fast but it runs without a problem and the open gl is good too. I keep these old beasts for network rendering with Electric Image, Cinema4D and Carrara. Better this than the dumpster...

Same thing here. I tried one of the scene preset (falling ring) and it worked at first but gave me that same message after 8 frames and stopped working... Also if I pause the rendering I get the rolling ball and I have to force quit Carrara I can connect without a problem with my network computers with EIAS Renderama ,Strata RenderPro and C4D 9 network. When I tried Transposer 1 on the network rendering a while back, it didn't work and was told by eovia at the time that transposer 1 was not compatible with the network rendering. I got the upgrade to Transposer 2 that is network enabled and it still doesn't work. The problem hopefully lies with the rendernode itself. One of the main reason I upgraded to C4 was for the network feature so I really hope I can solve this This is a mac to mac network Jean-Luc

Copy the object folders that you want into the presets/object folder.Then with Carrara running go to the object browser and choose" add new folder". Navigate to the folder you just copied. For loading scenes with the Wizard go to File/open wizard and choose the preset. You can also copy your own scene files into the scene folder in Carrara folder ; Carrara/scene folder/user. You can then load them with the wizard. What does NPR stand for?

Hi shante, I have it running on a 9600 with a G4 upgrade card and it is running fine. I also ran it on a 7500 with a G3/400 but it ran a little slower Hope it helps

Edit/Preferences/Plug-ins & Scratch Disks That is where you adjust the settings. You can choose from up to four different drives Good luck

Use another hdd for a scratch disk. You choose the scratch disk for ps in the preferences. Another possibility is to partition your existing drive and assign your ps scrath disk to the section xp is not running on HAWK999

If I go to the eyeballs parametric mapping and, in the multi channel change the color to value=0 and the transparency to 100 the eyes seem to render properly

Hi I did try the part 4 of the grouper tutorial to map the transmaps to the eyelashes and the eyebrows. The head is a layer's list shader when it appears in C2 I applied the technique to the corresponding layers of the shader but it didn't work. Might try to change the order of the layers.
