I think it looks pretty cool. On a quick fly-by it wouldn't be particularly noticeable to anyone who wasn't a 3D artist that it was all the same texture. Gives it a unifying look. I'm not saying it would HURT if some of the small buildings were different colors for contrast. But it's a work in progress, isn't it?

The only thing I could criticize at all is--it seems awfully hazy for an indoor scene, unless the air's polluted. :) But as I said before, it looks great just the way it is.

Thread: WIP:Crash Site - Help! - still can't get rid of the sectioned gradient | Forum: Bryce
I had the same problem with my Wing II banner. Color banding in Bryce, which didn't show up in any other graphics program, but did when I uploaded it! I think the problem is that I didn't save it as a high-enough quality JPEG, because when I saved it again at highest possible quality, it looked a lot better. Try saving Crash Site at highest quality level, and see if it still is funky.

Hmmmm, wonder if there'll be a Mac version? Oh, well, if not, I still have my free Strata3D, when I can figure it out. I'm debating whether I want to buy the $30 manual....
Thread: WIP... Waterfall... Comments.. Advice..Help. | Forum: Bryce
Looks like a very well-done painting of a waterfall. I agree with trying to get rid of or mininmize the straight line where the waterfall meets the river, and reducing the spray on top. It think the spray in the middle is part of what gives your trees that nice impressionistic-sorta look, though.

About making the black transparent: what I found out when I tried to do this is that you need an image with an alpha channel, in the form of a mask of the object which screens out the background. Since my graphics app (Painter5) doesn't support alpha channels, I wasn't able to do this, but someone with Photoshop should be able to. Speaking of which, does anyone know if Photoshop LE supports alpha channels? Trying to save a couple bucks here.....

Hmmm, have you considered doing the parade and stands as seperate works, then using a 2D paint program to add crowds to the stands and composite the scene? Otherwise, maybe you could make a texture of a crowd scene from a photo and apply it to a custom mesh...
Thread: What text program can open a CR2 on a Mac? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Macs have their own good points, which make putting up with occasional inconveniences worth the trouble. I'm sure you feel the same way about Windows. :P

Say, Earnest, could you please tell me where to find that Applescript you mentioned? I tried to ask by e-mail, but it was returned...
