Thread: Problem with Vue 4.12 and Poser .BUM textures | Forum: Vue
Thanks Guitta, after reading this thread I check my version and it had the problem. This fix worked for me. I noted that the V411 file was 140k and the V412 file was only 24k. Thanks again Neil

Thread: bump Mapping poser figures | Forum: Vue
Hi, Mike, The bump map is just one image and I guess playing with that was going to be my last resort. However KateTheShrew has hit it in one. Turning down the bump gain has pretty well remove the excessive grey bits around the feet. I wondered what that controll was for but never thought to play with it. :) I will have a bit more play with these controls and see how I get on. Thank you both. Have fun Neil

Definately less treacherous than Hallet Cove and good for learners. How old is your son as these are big boys toys. :):) I guess he will have to save some pennys. :) Have fun Neil

Now that sounds like an awesome place. I have a couple of friends who do combat with gliders and one who can do the most awesome 3d stunts with his helicopter. Unfortunatly crashes are a fact of life in this sport. :) Have fun Neil

Nice boat and the picture is great. My guess is that you have used a couple of terrains. One for the water and one for the foam.... am I close?? Have fun Neil

Thanks Sacred, Yes I am a fan (excuse the pun) of Helicopters. They are an interesting aircraft and my radio controled model is capable of all the aerobatics anyone can think of but I'm still learning to fly so loops are my limit at the moment..... Have fun Neil

Thanks Mike. Yep I should have done that the first time. Must be more criticle the first time round. :) Have fun Neil

Thanks Varian. I should have spent the time on the mountain in the first place. This one I used anim8or to digitise a profile of the mountain from a picture and then lathed a 3d model. I agree the bridge looks better with a rail. Glad you like the sand. I'll tell how I created it. First I took a photo out of my car window of a gravel road. When I tried that it was too dark so I mixed in the milk texture and there you have it. I am glad you liked the improvement. Have fun Neil

Thanks Rynn, I took the original white blossom texture and selected all the flowers and then added a radial flood fill to give a spread of colour. I am pleased at how it came out then added to the trees. Have fun Neil
