Thread: The box says 512M free RAM.....I don't think so........ | Forum: Vue
Walther is right. Here what hapened (with my poor english words): during many days, I had my 2 "powerful" PC (P4 2,8 ghz with 1g ram) for the renders. The PIII (my web pc) is too slow for the renders. So, when scenes were at rendering on the 2 big engines, I start and create next scenes with my "old" PIII 1ghz 512 ram. Hum... about 75% of the scenes were created on that old PC. Mad (fool) isn't it? :-))) I remember some messages from the soft when launch ecosystem populate. It is like "Are you sure" for my hears. Anyway, let's beta testing!!! I clicked yes! And was cool. And I had the time to lunch. :o)))

what is the map? Procedural or image map? If bmp or jpg check: interpolation to bilinear. I mean leave none to bilinear!

COOL !
The trick I used with Troopers is to create 5 vob from 5 different PZZ (PZ3) marches; with delays. So the 5 animated vobs created the little "delayed" army. ;-) (not sure for my english. Hope you'll understand).
Thread: Ecosystems and shadows question | Forum: Vue
I am not agree with you. The shadows are not wrong. The cat is! Ever see a cat with a hat! ;-)))

Thread: Ecosystems and shadows question | Forum: Vue
Ah. It is a great picture by Robert! A master of Vue! There is no problem with shadows. May be Robert (in advance, sorry/apologizes Robert, again it is only my 2cents about one of your best picture) may be Robert add too much GI, I mean the sky dome is too big, but... but it is great like that. that is not realistic scene, isn't it?
That infinite ;-) The sun could have softness... or shadows could be done with shadow mapping... sincerely you'll can make what you want.
Have fun! Be cool! Be free!!!

No problems with shadows. You can of course add more light and decide what they catch. Play with light is...infinite! (hum sorry) Please what is the pic you are talking about. It is always easier to talk and help with an exemple.

With scene with water/waves in the back, with tiny bumps, in fact with lot of details and or special effects (waters, reflexion, transparencies), I always launch ULTRA renders. Also, a trick is to remove tiny bumps, in fact tiny things, for the materials at back ground.
Thread: Vue 5 In.....they got TEXT | Forum: Vue
I've uninstalled vue Pro. No problemo with the Windows "install/unistall programs box". In the directory I had to move some personnal scene, bitmpas, or added old things... do not forget, put an eye on your files before manualy delete all the vue Pro directory.
