Richard, from my point of view many persones "paste" Great Work to an image with the hope you will come back to their page to do the same. Their goal is, to reach the *** artcharts and to stay on top as long it´s possible. Of course they don´t want to give you a high ranking becourse they don´t want that you reach the charts...

Maybe I´m too old to understand what´s so holy on the art-charts of Rendo as you don´t get a 5 Dollar vourcher for that. To stay in the charts, or to get 50 + comments often only means that you have a lot of friends that comment daily your works. I always shake my head when I read sentences like "Sorry that I haven´t comment your works yet, but I promise I´ll fetch up all my 600 ebots". These persons must fear the lose of comments or rankings much.

I have just canceld this rating option since years; I love to read comments but I prefere some personal words or real critique with a hint how to do it better. I have my favorite artists, people whos art I like. This could be real masterpieces but also funny or interesting images of beginners. For me they are all 5 Stars becourse I like them ;-)

the whole world is waiting for Mike4 and Aiko4, but I guess that there will be the V4.2 only and we can buy the morph-packs to change into A4 or M4. I´m sure, there will not be other figures anymore. One base-figure and morph-packs only. You betcha!!

V4.1 is wearing a Bikini and has hairs ;-)
But beside the optical thing, you really can do the update, as you can use all things for V4 on V4.1 too.
With the update DAz has fixed some morph-problems, and V4.1 bend better now. It´s really an update only.

Belive me, I own expensive ones and also some from new-commer and special offers. I was just shocked from the awful quality of a few expensive ones done by popular merchants, and I also was just more than happy with some cheap characters from unknowen new vendors.
Most it´s a question of my own knowledge how to handel this "cheap" character in Poser.
Otherwise, I have an expensive character which was perfect in Poser6 but came out in 4 different colors in Poser7....Head, arms, legs and body - all have a color of their own.
It seems you don´t have this character ;-)

I don´t think that the textures are really your probleme. I think you don´t like Syltermermaid as person, and that was not the point of the thread.

Well, the best way is to convert the image in photoshop or what you are using for images.
It is possible to convert all textures before, but it makes not really sence and hasn´t the good result as in postwork. Poser can´t render b/w if the textures are colored. There is no option.

Yes, Ute will be back in a few days. As long she is banned, she can´t sell her characters or get credits.
The only thing that Ute has done was to copy some sentences from a PM by the market-admin, under her image.
In the comment-thread someone has spoken about images with copyright in the marketplace, but it was not Ute who has used them. He or she was talking about another vendor.

Ute and her husband aren´t the youngest anymore. It´s true, her husband has much medical problems with his heart and can´t work anymore.  Ute has rheumatism and problems with her intervertebral discs. Last one is the result of a long time of careing her disabled doughter as divorced mother.

Ute really has a difficult life, and she is certainly not a "mad person" who hasn´t nothing else to do as creating characters for poser. One side Ute loves to create characters, but other side she also has to earn some money - as we all have to do that we can live. Also not to forget that Ute gives many characters away for free to her friends or customers, regardless if they have many comments or faves for their images.
Nobody here "must" buy Ute´s characters, we can buy them or not.
Nearly all characters that I own from different merchants are based on "Merchant resources", so I wonder why this seems to be a big faux pas by Ute only?

For me I have ranking off, as it isn´t urgent for me to become the "Queen of Renderosity". For me the stars are fun and a game. They say nothing really about an image, as often it´s a question of hard-working in the galleries only (I vote you - you vote me, and as more I vote....No sweet without swet ;-) ) A top ranking is more a question of many friends than an ace image.
There I most see images of my favorite artists only, so I always give 5 stars becourse I like their art.....

Hehe, I´m sure nobody would find the top of worst images, as nobody knows really what "worse" image is. Think about the different between Leonardo da Vinci and Max Bill...

Well, perhaps 3 years ago I saw a wonderful image with beautyful roses and character. All things went well but not the lipstick which has "shot" the whole image. I wrote this and said that it would be better to try or use another lipstick next image. 
The artist (female) has start to kill me after this message....So since I let others do what they want.... 
Most I only comment a view images from artists which I took in my favorites. Others I only comment if I see a work from whom I´m impressed.

Sure, "I don´t like" isn´t a comment that helps. Not all persons like the same style of art, and so not everybody "like" or "dislike" my art by sample. I can give a critique if I recognize a technics probleme, but than I also have to say how to fix it or how to do.

I remember in the beginning with Poser so many told me "There are no shadows", but no one told me how to do a shadow :-// That makes non sense.

But´if you don´t like an image, it´s better to say nothing ;-)

Vor V4 at DAZ for other figures here on marketplace. It really helps much to make a texture real.

Very interest! Once somebody told me that more dpi would show (print) more colortones. Isn´t it true? So by sample, if I render an image 1200x1200 and 600 dpi hasn´t it not more quality as 1200x1200 and 72 dpi?

Quick solution? Use realskin shadder by faceoff. Makes wonder (really!)
Since I use this script, I haven´t this dirty probleme anymore.
