...more updates for V4 users in Vue...http://www.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=4788&cat=350
Clothes Converter (or owners of Clothes Converter who want to upgrade) can now have V4 support so that they can use their V3 clothes on V4...
....also Animators will be interested to know that Nerd3D's Walk Designer now supports V4...
so you can bring them into Vue 5 or Vue 6 ...(requires Poser 5, 6 or 7)...

...For those interested in using V3 clothes directly on V4- WITHOUT using the V4-V3 Cr2 (which is just fine in many cases) -they will be interested to know that PhilC has updated Wardrobe Wizard to support V4 DIRECTLY. ..Current Wardrobe Wizard customers can get the V4 update for $4.95...http://www.philc.net/WW_update.htm
For those NOT familiar with Wardrobe Wizard, it is possible to convert clothes between a EXTREMELY WIDE RANGE of characters, including e-frontier people and many other odd and unusual characters- saving people TONS of $$$ on buying new clothes for V3, V4, Miki, etc...
...ESPECIALLY NICE if you want to use, say, the extremely POPULAR Artemis-X set (for V3) on a variety of other characters-Â like Miki or V4...
The OTHER program that is expected to soon have an update is Universal Texture Converter- this program converts texture maps between characters like V3, M3, V2, M2, etc...meaning that you can ALSO save $$$Â by using your favorite V3 textures on V2, or on V4, when the V4 update for UTC is released...

Here's another interesting "out of the box" V4 render by Carodan- showing V4's EXTREME morphability...http://www.runtimedna.com/mod/ophoto/index.php?photoid=11182

...BTW- if you would like to see what V4 can be morphed into- check this image by Carodan!Thread: ....V4 Base is FREE! | Forum: Vue
Farkwar- have you tried using the V4-V3 Cr2 yet with V3 clothes?...just wondering if the deformer mags work on V3 clothes... I can't use my Poser right now because my rendering machine is undergoing some upgrading at the moment...

Blackhearted is at work on a GND (Girl Next Door) for V4, Thorne and Sarsa have previewed what they are doing...and Robt Whiz of DAZ has released this image, which he says only shows less than "half" of the V4 morphs they are working on "in house" at DAZ...
...However, I am most interested in seeing the ethnic morphs- especially Polynesian!
..and, yes, V4's eyes are WEIRD- but someone will surely be releasing a "V4 Real Eyes" pack very soon, I'm sure- as there were some really great one's for V3 released in the past several months...

BTW- here's a link to a new Merchant Resource kit by Sarsa which has P4-P4 Pro-Pack maps...meaning that you could use V4 in Pro-Pack!-- something I still like to use for a number of my projects... This is ALSO useful for owners of programs like Vue 5... as V5 level software doesn't read P6 shaders...!http://www.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=4763&cat=350
....$14.68 for PC Members!

...Yes, they have changed the morph and JCM stuff...ABOVE is a link info about the **NEW**             D-formers and Morphforms in Victoria 4: **Victoria 4: Exploring the New Features ****http://www.daz3d.com/support/tutorial/tutorial.php?id=1942#1 ** One of the things that interests me is the statement that  "One of the primary benefits of using D-Formers in a figure like Victoria is that clothing need not contain these D-Formers to work with them. (JCMs, on the other hand, require clothing to contain analogous morphs.) A simple Magnetize pose allows the D-Formers to work not only on the figure but on the clothing as well."...I WONDER if this will work ALSO with V3 Clothes on the V4-V3 Cr2??...It sounds like it just might!
...AND reguarding the other morphs- like Asian, etc- I'm sure it will come as a later add-on set, sort of like "International Beauties"- which I think they did with V3...a picture I saw over at DAZ showing an "Asian" face did NOT look very Asian to me- but we will have to wait until the additional morph sets are released, I guess...

...Heh!...There is even a CHEAPER alternative! You can JUST BUY her MORPHS, as a PC member, for $14.68!!http://www.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=4787&cat=350
...with THAT you ALSO get the V4-V3 Cr2!! ...and you get the needed morphs when you choose to buy a THIRD-PARTY character- which will most likely come with its OWN skin texture map, etc...ANYWAY!
...THAT would be the BEST BUDGET MINDED option if you would like a way to begin using V4 with V3 clothes!
Thread: ....V4 Base is FREE! | Forum: Vue
...one other good option, if you are a PC Member, is to get the V4 "Complete" kit- this is only $24.48 and the best part is you get a V4-V3 Cr2...meaning that you have V4's nice looking face but also she can wear ALL of V3's clothes (which most people already have a LOT of...)
...Since I don't do lots of Porn Animations...I think that might be the BEST option for me...

...if you are ready to BLOW $49 (and are a PC Member) you can have the ENTIRE WAD of V4 Goodies!...the is the "Pro Bundle"...
http://www.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=4800&cat=350
Keep in mind, if you are interested in getting V4- you can get a PC Membership for as low as $7.95 for one month- so it's a NICE SAVINGS if you are REALLY INTO getting Victoria 4!
Actually, I'm NOT pushing V4 as I am still really happy with V3, S3, A3 and even my V2 stuff !

Thread: ...Are Poser Figure Artist using Deceptive or Mis-leading Advertising? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Attached Link: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/ad-faqs.htm
...sorry Mr. Sparky, I have to REPEAT to you again...LISTEN: I am NOT against Poser Figure Artist...PLEASE GET THAT CLEAR, O.K.? Selling it to whoever is just FINE with me!But what you KEEP MISSING is what I have been repeatedly been saying- The MARKETING
VIDEO is DECEPTIVE when aimed at a Jerry's Art-o-Rama audience...LIKE I SAID...if e-frontier were to take their video and use the FIRST PART of the Artist talking about using PFA as a "Virtual Model" tool ...then that's JUST GROOVY with me...because it's a FAIR and ACCURATE way to present the concept of PFA to that type of audience... (which PRIMARILY is where PFA is directed at- and why they use WOODY as the "theme symbol" for the package)...ARE YOU WITH ME?
...Like WOODY would NOT be a likely THEME SYMBOL for Poser 7 because Poser 7 is directed at a MORE SOPHISTICATED Computer User who knows about (or will be FORCED to learn about) things like 3D Shaders, Dynamic Cloth, Morphs, etc... and using the MORE SOPHISTICATED Post-Produced artwork WOULD BE the appropriate marketplace to show it...
...It may SEEM TRIVIAL and UNIMPORTANT to you how products are marketed- but there are CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS in the US, UK and European Union countries which govern how MASS-MARKET PRODUCTS are advertised (I know some people here "don't think so"- but they have VERY LITTLE IDEA of what ACTUALLY GETS REGULATED in Commercial Products).
...the BIGGER the company, the more likely the Federal Trade Commission (or some other government agency) will be CLOSELY LOOKING AT how Commercial Messages are convayed
and IF they are DECEPTIVE...
...I'm POSTING THIS AGAIN...You May NEVER have heard of the FTC before, but THEY EXIST!
and they FINE COMPANIES for advertising that CONFUSES, MIS-LEADS or appears DECEPTIVE!...
FTC GENERAL ADVERTISING POLICIES
What truth-in-advertising rules apply to advertisers?
Under the Federal Trade Commission Act:
How does the FTC determine if an ad is deceptive?
A typical inquiry follows these steps:
NOTE THE PHRASE "Reasonable Consumer"..the "typical Person looking at the ad"

...and these are EXACTLY the POINTS I'm trying to make!...when you SAY THINGS like "imitate great masters like Monet, Pollock, Seurat " and SHOW heavily POSTWORKED art by people who CLEARLY are very experienced Poser users- it conveys a much more DECEPTIVE MESSAGE...to a NAIVE CONSUMER!
LIKE I HAVE BEEN SAYING ...and as has been SAID ABOVE... Poser Figure Artist is AIMED at an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT AUDIENCE...so THIS is why a DIFFERENT STANDARD of marketing is very important! These are TOTAL NEWBIE, FIRST TIME buyers...How are they supposed to KNOW what IS and ISN'T Postworked????
That's why I bring the Federal Trade Commission into this:
GENERAL ADVERTISING POLICIES

NOTE THE PHRASE "Reasonable Consumer"..the "typical Person looking at the ad"
Fine Art NEWBIES who "don't like using their computers very much" (According to the e-frontier video).. are the INTENDED AUDIENCE... NOT Poser POWER USERS who know all about SHADERS, POST-WORKING, etc...
It's a very DIFFERENT IMPRESSION made on basically very NAIVE Software Users... to ME
it's like putting Candy Flavors into CIGARETTES... we ALL KNOW who this is AIMED AT!! ...
(The answer: KIDS)... or in the PFA Case... VERY NAIVE and NON-TECHNICAL Fine Artists...
