Sorry, but all the program crashes, 90 calls to e-on, get one prob fixed and another occurs. I also run most other programs mentioned above with no probs. I am using a new P4 3.GHz with 1 gig of memory and a well know $600 grahics card. Mats won't load correctly, Rock import and resizing causes crashes, and imports and exports are so slow the program simply freezes. Prehaps the next FIX will work. Till then Vue4 Pro sits idlely on my system. Glad it works for some of you.
Thread: Introductory Pricing on Vue 4 Pro Ends Wednesday October 15 | Forum: Vue
If you OWN Vue 4, this special upgrade price should be the standard price for a upgrade version to current owners. That is the way most software companies operate. I would like to buy Vue Pro, but not until I see the problems mentioned in these threads fixed with a Vue 4 Pro upgrade. Especially the graphic card compatability and opengl problems..

Thread: Radeon 9600 pro not good enough for VUE4pro? + some ranting... ;o) | Forum: Vue
Excuse me, but if the Radeon 9600,9700,or 9800 versions did not make the list, how did the Quadro 980XGL card? The Radeon 9800 and even down to to the 9600 cards are considered high quality graphics cards by many experts and should be able to run Vue 4 pro. The higher priced models are only $99 cheaper than your card. Radeons all ran VUE 4 and supported openGL. Also, where is the supported hardware list on Vue's home page? The only thing I see posted to run Vue 4 Pro is a 16 bit graphics card and a Pentium machine. Prehaps E-on would be so good as to publish the "qualified hardware list" that says these cards are incompatable. I can't find on their site where it says they are. If anyone can point this out, where it says Radeons are not compatable, please correct me..
Thanks

Thread: The Contest Pre-vote | Forum: Vue
I think the mod here has made the right decision to send ALL 36 images to E-On to judge. Busy or not, how long does it take to look at 36 entries? Take a coffee break and make a choice. After all, they agreed to be judges correct?
Thread: No Support For Vue | Forum: Vue
I really don't see the point in blasting the moderators of this forum. This is Renderosity, not E-On Software. The tools and tutorials they provide as well as help and encourgement do not deserve this type of comment nor the anger taken out on them. I had a problem with reinstalling the 4.12 upgrade also, and went thru the loops trying to communicate with them. Yes the OpenGL sucks and does not work at all under XP, but prehaps the new fix or version will correct this. In any case write or better yet FAX your problem to E-On in France at their address and phone numbers shown in the User manual. If you still don't get an answer, write the Attorney General in Oregon a letter or the newspaper in Beaverton. But lets not involve the nice people here who provide this site. I managed to get by upgrade straight with a few e-mails to E-On Software. I suggest you try again expaining your problems and you have used Vue since ver 2. But I must say.. no answer whatsoever on the OpenGL prob..... but thats a prob for everyone.. not just me and I'm sure E-on will address it in the next release....
Thread: Slow refresh rate, memory problem? | Forum: Vue
It COULD be his cable. Just unplug it and see if your refresh rates improve. If they do, it's probably the cables fault. Set up a firewall. Also run a virus scan. Many viruses cause your PC to run sluggish.

Thread: Vue 4.2 beta | Forum: Vue
I have tried the beta under Windows XP pro and have noticed the following: 1. Slower rendering 2. program not responding errors, causing a necessary reboot. This did not occur and does not occur when uninstalling the beta version and reinstalling 4.12. The program starts out running fine, then becomes slower and slower.. then simply stops responding. I am back to running ver 4.12 with no problems whatsoever. I run a 3.0 GHZ Pentium 4, with 1 Gig mem, ATI 9600.
