Adobe Illustrator has its own feature called Rasterize, I believe its under the Object menu, but you have to blow up the object to a fairly large size before rasterizing. From there you can copy and paste it into any image editor to save it as whatever image file desired. I would recommend Tiff or Bmp as they are lossless. But I guess Wings worked for you. I should try that sometime.
Thread: Bantam3D grass generator | Forum: Bryce
This is a great program, I wonder why no one told me about it when I posted my image, "graves". Really crappy grass by me.
Thread: HDRI confusion | Forum: Bryce
It was your chess set that set me off on my search of HDRI. It is really great, and I was always wondering why I can't make such realistic renders in Bryce.

cool, now I just have to work up the guts to actually try it, and hope my computer doesn't crash or run out of virtual memory. Thanks

That totally freaked me out too, I went to see ???'s gallery and artist page. There is actually several works posted there, but no artist page. Go figure!
Thread: Spring cherrys | Forum: Fractals
There are plenty of heavily postworked fractals in the fractals gallery. I find a lot more interprative images in the 2D gallery. IMO, in the end it really doesn't matter where you post it to, but thanks for sharing.

Thread: How big do you guys work? | Forum: Fractals
I always do test renders at smaller resolutions and if I like the general composition of it I will blow it up to a decent size. Usually I make things for my own computer as wallpapers and my computer is set to 1400 by 1050. If I want to print it I will make it larger, but I stick to 300 dpi for print resolution. Where do you find Lightjet? Do you own this machine or is it through a separate printing company?

I like the story, however, it is riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. Also the cliche "leaks like a seive" could be replaced. It didn't seem in character with the house to use cliches. The story is very nice however, and conveys a lot of mood. It is deserving of some proofreading.
Thread: Writer's Contest for The RIM! Has Begun!!!! | Forum: Writers
I see some great works posted in this contest, however I wonder if people are going to be able to correct any errors/typos in their works. Just some minor errors that I'm sure if the author read after they posted they would be going "DOH!" right now.
Thread: What to model . . . | Forum: 3D Modeling
The ship in my gallery is a quaternion fractal, I didn't actually model that. All I did for that was to plug in a formula. The buildings are a nice idea, working as a CAD designer I was trained to think small, buildings are large, didn't think of that. I've thought of furniture, but I have no imagination for it. Give me a couple weeks and I'll have a few things I guarantee. Probably post them in the bryce forum since thats what I use for rendering.

HA! your not getting a picture of me! You'll have to go all paparazzi on me to get a photo of me!
Thread: Another newbie needs help! | Forum: 3D Modeling
I came from a CAD background myself, and still use CAD to export objects into Bryce. I use a 3d CAD system called SolidWorks that my former company used to use. I got them to buy me a home copy so that I could do my work at home. I left the company several years ago, but I still use the program whenever I want a specific model. I know AutoCAD can export as DXF which several 3D packages can recognize. Bryce is what I use for composing scenes, and I just love it.
Thread: IRC Channel available | Forum: Fractals
As soon as I get my internet connection paid and reconnected I'll be dropping by to see the place. Just one question though. What about renderosity's chat rooms? Does anyone ever use those and where are they located?
