But is it "Free" for Only 21 Days? Or, is it a free upgrade for as long as you like? Where can the free upgrade for as long as you like be downloaded from? When I follow the link given above, I read: "The app includes a 21-day free trial period after which you will be prompted to purchase a license and receive your serial number."

As far as I understand your copies of 10, 12 and 14P will all continue to run as if nothing has happened. 11P will need to be downloaded from https://www.posersoftware.com/downloads It's a free upgrade and comes with a load of extra content which is always good. The additional content files appear to be better organised into Zip files so you don't need to install all the old legacy stuff, just the modern figures if you want. It's live now!
Not sure why there is "Download" and "Faster Download". Who is going to press the "Download" button when its obviously slower
Thanks.
Uh, as I read it, I would not call this a "Free Upgrade." It says that "after 21 days you will be prompted to purchase a license." So, I think they will deactivate version 11.2 after 21 days.

The free update is only for Poser 11 and Poser Pro 11 owners.
I am wondering about PoserPro 2014 too - it didn't need activation, only PP2014 GameDev started that. As far as I know ... but I AM worried. I wrote a ticket asking the new support, but some weeks later still didn't get an answer (which does not make be positive about the whole move). PLEASE?
IS there a free upgrade for owners of Poser Pro 11.1.x whatever? I do have this version. Am I still supposed to pay $99 to get to version 11.2? (I do NOT care about the extra content. I've got too much content already.)
Also, I do have Poser Pro 2014, which, I guess, is Poser 10. I did not get the Game Development feature. So, from what I'm reading, it sounds like Poser Pro 2014 will continue to work even if I do not upgrade. Is this correct?

Thank you both, Boni and RobZhena, for your responses. Well, that makes me feel a bit better if Poser works with Mojave.

Well, I just hope the old versions I've got (2014 Pro and 2016 Pro) keep running on Apple's new OS systems as they are developed. It's sad, but I'm afraid that what bantha writes above is so.

Thanks very much for this. Poser 11 seems to work with the new OS. How about Poser Pro 2014? (I imagine it would work.) But there are always bugs with each new OS release. It may be safer to wait until it's 10.13.2 or 10.13.3. But if anyone else has info on Poser Pro 11 or Poser Pro 2014, please post.

Well I have AffinityPhoto v 1.5.2. I don't normally have the channels pallet displayed. I have to go to View-->Studio-->Channels. But I do see the Alpha at the bottom of the list. I can try Control-Click, or even Option-Click, or Command-Click, but nothing happens.

Hi. To get the transparency when using a PSD file in Affinity Photo. On the Channels panel go to the very bottom where it says Alpha, right mouse click and select - Load to Background Alpha.
That doesn't seem to work for me. I select the Alpha at the bottom of the Channels panel. I'm on a Mac, but Control-->Click should do it. But, nothing happens. Do I need to select all of that background color or something? Right now, when I Control-->Click, I do not see any options appearing.

Oh, that's good to know about the Alternate Construct folder in the Environments folder, is it? I haven't seen that. I'll look for it.

Okay. I'm using an older non subscription version of PS, 5. I understand why you switched. I also get why Adobe changed to subscription as they were getting pirated so much. I'm glad you were able to work it out. It's so much fun.
I quit PS after version 5.1 because of the Java version I had to retain.

Thank you so much for all these tips. I didn't know about AffinityPhoto and the Alpha Channel and Load to Background Alpha. I'll have to give that a try.

Hi, you can export in psd format and if you use PS, IMHO, you should. The image will come in with a layer mask and the background should be transparent. You can then add all the backgrounds you like on another layer. It's great.
Well, I'm using AffinityPhoto. I have used Photoshop in the past. Quit because of what Adobe did with subscriptions. Anyway, I can still get layers and use Custom 1, 2, 3, etc., as options, when rendering in Poser. And I can add backgrounds and various other things on layers in AffinityPhoto.

Go into the hierarchy editor, select Ground, and right-click and delete it.
OK, thank you very much. After deleting Ground from the Hierarchy Editor, I can get no background at all if I export in PNG format. I can't, however, export in PSD format, but that doesn't matter.

I've been exporting my renders in PNG and in PSD format. OK, I'll try Hierarchy editor, select Ground, right-click and Delete it. Hope that works.
