Interesting to hear more about the Golden State mess. I've thought for a long time that they are mostly really screwed up. Who else would demand 'pollution free' electric cars without even thinking about where the electric power to recharge all those batteries is coming from? Hence, higher demand on electric power, generated in part, I would suppose, by burning fossil fuel. We've gone the deregulation route here in Maine, but it has not changed much yet. There is no competition for supplying power, for one thing. it still comes from the same sources as before. The former power companies are now just moving all that power from the generators to the people. When our power goes out up here, we just crank up the generator and sit back and relax, watching the snow come down.
Thread: Converting obj PC files to Mac files | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't know about the obj files on the CD, but I've had no problem converting the ones I've gotten in Renderosity free stuff to Mac format with Mac Converter. Not sure what the difference is. Have you tried using Mac Converter on any files you got on Renderosity? Might be a good check to see if it's working properly.

Next question: I've looked at 'cr2' files and it is obvious to me that they were generated by some kind of computer program. What application is used to generate 'cr2's? I think I read somewhere that imaging of the body is done with a laser. Correct? And does the input from that laser end up as the coordinates present in the 'cr2'?

Thread: Poser problem with figures added to a scene | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The curious thing about this, to me, is that while I would have a problem adding figures in 4.0.3, if I added them in 4.0and saved the scene, I could then re-open it with 4.0.3 and all figures would appear with all parts intact. I think there's a lot about this that I don't understand. The reason for wanting to open in 4.0.3 is, as others probably know, that 4.0 sometimes crashes (on Mac) in the middle of some critical step in doing a scene.

Response to Jaager: I haven't had this problem, only the above mentioned one, which is now solved using X-perimentalman's solution.

Forget the last comment/question (#7). I just figured out that Microsoft Word 98 works fine for editing cr2 files. If one uses the 'open' command and asks for 'all files' the cr2 will come up nicely and can be edited. It will be interesting to see if this solves a problem I've had since 4.0.3 came out.

Thanks for the advice. Now if I can just figure out how to edit the cr2 file . . . The solutions referred to talk about something called 'wordpad'. I assume that is a text editing program like 'simpletext' or something. Right?
Thread: Scaling models clothing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What has worked for me on a downsized model is to downscale the 'body' of the clothing first, then make minor adjustments as necessary for a fit.
Thread: Bryce to Poser export/import | Forum: Bryce
Well, what I really want to do is create things more complex than a terrain. For example, I tried to create a booth, such as one might find in a restaurant. No problem creating it out of various shapes, but couldn't export it to Poser. I was not able to select the whole thing to use the routine you gave.
