I have never tried making hair using the hair room, I just had a feeling it would never give me the effect/look I want. Plus if modelling/trans is good enough for the king (Kozaburo) then it's good enough for me :-) peace

Hi I've just been to the poserworld site. They seem to be a little mean with there descpritions, or am I looking in the working place. All I could find is ... http://www.poserworld.com/DesktopModules/ViewAlbumPhotos.aspx?AlbumID=115&mid=39 with this short description... PoserWorld Update #112 (May 16, 2004) sunglasses for mike, teen outfits, magic book prop, more suits, Dinner suit extras for Mike 3's suit,Suit set for Mike 2,New textures and MAT files for V3, SP3 and David morphing jeans,70 Poser 5 Goth shaders by Lyrra. Is that it description wise? If it is, it's nothing like the descriptions I get on daz, renderosity or any of the other 3d sites I've been to. Hopefully I'm an idiot and I'm looking in the wrong place. Or do you have to subcribe 1st before you get a full description? (if so that ssooo unfair) Please point me in the right direction. Thanks

Thread: Photographing models for use as texture maps | Forum: Photography
Thats an interesting point and yes as shadows are our worst enemy, I want to avoid them at all costs. When I go back to the studio I'll try and find out exactly what the engineer meant. I'll use the first session to try both methods.
Thanks

Thanks but I've already used these tutorial's for use with LEVIUS' texture maps. However they only concentrate on mapping the photographs onto the texture maps and not taking the pictures. Even Btsculptor's tutorial only briefly covers photographing the models. The reason I'm doing this is LEVIUS' photo's are are great quality and good value for money if purchased directly from his site www.3d.sk (only works out at $15 for 1 month - I basically downloaded everything on his site one weekend) but the photos are only at a resolution of 72dpi and I'm sure a CANON 300D can output at approx 200dpi. When we booked the studio an extremely nice engineer showed us around the studios and gave us basic tips like one light should always be brighter then the other, apparently this helps with shadows. But for sure I'll take whatever advice I get from this forum and the experience of doing it to make a tutorial on human reference shots. Thanks

After reading all of your posts (some great ideas here, thanks for pointing me in the right direction) I've decided to purchase Btsculptor's head tutorial and try and get my head round it this weekend. I'm a bit of a freshman at this and and don't use the material room as often as I should ( that room scares me a bit cus I don't understand to well) but hopefully the tutorial will help me Nice one peeps
