The question was "Why aren't male figures used more often, or rendered more?". Not why don't people make clothes for them. Part of that might be because the clothes people want aren't available maybe, but there's actually quite a lot of stuff out there for the Daz males anyway. Not too much for Ryan/Tyler though unfortunately.

Quote - i thnk, in the rendo gallery you can't show man's full front nude?
there are fully nude men in DA galleries. :)
My Photobucket account was closed because of a picture of a guy's bare arse
I like DA :thumbupboth:

Actually I've seen plenty of professional ballet and high-end fashion shows with titties
But anyway.... I mainly render males. I do lots of sci-fi, historical and fantasy stuff. There's actually quite a bit of stuff around for M3 and M4 and I do a lot of kit bashing and make a lot of my own dynamic stuff when I need historical accuracy. More historically accurate armour (any period!) for males is always needed! I don't do everyday-type renders so I have no idea what's available in that line though.

Pity about the tutu. What went wrong? But at least most sets have the tutu as a separate piece and easy enough to scale to fit Roxie or Miki4.
(Don't forget to fix the shoes though! )

Quote - > Quote - Needs more layers, 3 isn't much for a tutu. Then the transparency will look better.
How many layers we talking?
Usually about 8-10, but you could get away with a few less for a class practice tutu though. I think that like a real tutu it will probably look better the more layers you add.

Ooooh! That sounds interesting...... Miki4 I have. The poor girl keeps bugging me to buy her a XD licence so she can steal V4's ballet stuff, but it hasn't happened yet
She really needs her own pointe shoes. Converting them and then trying to get the converted shoes to pose anything like realistically is a pain.

Quote - > Quote - Is there a way to change the default settings on those dials? They're not nearly sensitive enough at the default so I always have to keep changing each one.
(My pet peeve is that's there's no way to multiple select - anything!)
After you've reset the sensitivity, resave the figure and that will become the default.
Doric
Thanks! I'll try to remember that.

Is it the shaders that's the problem for the tutu? I've used Parrotdolphin's shear materials from the Medieval set before now for tutu layers and that's come out quite well. You need something that looks like fine net curtain, not too transparent.
I think it's all looking good though - even though I don't have Roxie to use it :(

Tutu and skirt always is good.
Just a note though - ribbons should be tied at the ankles. Those are much too high.
Thread: Why does Poser customers like Conforming Cloths better then Dynamic Cloths ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Absolutely!
Very difficult to get conforming cloth to do this!

Quote - one issues is how long it takes poser to run a symo. Its agonizingly long >.<
But if you use MD, you can make it, drape it, export it and BAM in less time(sometimes) then it takes poser to go "drape cloth".
If poser was to have better dynamics I am sure more people would be using it.
I prefer dynamic. But I don't use the Poser cloth room so I would never buy Poser dynamic cloth for example.
I had MD a long time before I had Poser so I've never had any need to even bother with the Cloth Room.
I like dynamic cloth with MD because I can make whatever I like, adjust the cloth however I like and the draping is so much better than struggling with trying to get conforming clothes to look convincing when a figure is sitting down etc. And there is no horrible stretching of textures.
I do use conforming clothing for something with a lot of details which would be a nightmare to try and create a pattern, or something solid like armour. Mainly because I don't have the skills to do this in MD, or the time to learn.
