Thread: I Need Help!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think you need to tell us exactly what you are trying to do first before we can tell you how to do it. Example How do I get a character from the library? Click the single checkmark. How do I add another charater to the scene without deleting the first on? Click the double check mark. Etc.
Thread: Your thoughts on rendering. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I usually use the FireFly in draft, except when I want to do a quickie check I sometimes will use Poser 4 with everyting clicked off except Use texture maps. I have a two monitor set up in horizontal scan mode. The one on the right is 17 inch and use use that when for the menus and tools, with a 19 inch on the left with is devoted to my workspace. I have that set at 1200 x 900 and that is the size I render at. Lighting depends on the mood I am going for. Generally too much light is when everything starts looking washed out and too flat. As for settings, again depends on what look you are going for. As a mimimum I have smooth polygons checked and remove back facing polygons check. Sometimes Use testure filtering makes hair look better. I usually cast shadows when I get near the final renders. If I have reflective or refractive objects I check raytracing on. Pixel samples is usually set to 3. That covers about 90% of the renders I do.

Wow Sarte, you aren't kidding. She looks like the leader alien in Close Encounters of the Third Kind after the mother ship lands.

It is an interesting question though, why is their a node from ambient color attached to the texture map? Did you do this Starkdog, or did it come that way? If you did it, why did you do it?

I guess I'm going to be the rebel and say I like her without the mask more. She actually looks more sultry and dangerous without the mask IMO. I think this is because the eyebrows give the face more expression.

First the coloring of the scene doesn't look very natural. Too green. Try adjusting the lighting. The skirt is embedded in her left thigh, try to move the skirt away from her leg some or postwork it. Also the left bottom side of the blouse is flying up at a really strange angle. The fingers also look a little kinked, try straightening them out some. OTOH the face looks really nice, the breast have a nice natural looking heft to them and the stomach has a nice natural looking layer of fat on it. As for hair, have you tried Kazaburo's hair? I really like that hair. Click on Digital Babes in the Web Ring Top 15 to the left for the link

Zip, it doesn't look like conforming hair. It looks like hair created in Poser 5's hair room. Hair room is a bitch to get to work right, just have to keep playing with it. Usually it works better to just do the hair in small sections than to try to do the whole head at once.

The reason for not just taking a photograph is because you can create places that have never been or don't exit anymore.
