Ok Ariah.  I have some good news and some bad news.  The good news is that I was able to create an adult manga character using Aiko3.  I was correct about my Kalia elf character being close to a manga style character. I only had to put the ears back to normal and adjust the nose a little, but nothing major.

The bad news is that so far I'm only able to get one texture and lighting to work with it.  I And it's not exactly the same look as the one you used as an example.  I tried to use a similar texture color and it only made the character look like a zombie.  Oh yeah the character is very beautiful and I'm having second thoughts about posting here.  As far as I know there's nothing in renderosity like it.

I'm working on a scene for this character.  I should have a complete version of this image in the gallery within 12 hours.

I checked some of the images from my gallery and I think my Kalia character may be the closest that I have for the style you are looking for.  These were created with Aiko3. (all of my images were created with aiko3 for that matter).  They are actually the exact same Kalia Model. The only difference is the realism setting and the elf ears.

I'll make a few renders of the Kalia character to see if it is closer to the adult manga style that you are looking for.

I use both poser 6 and poser 7.  Poser 6 actually renders faster for me than the poser 7

The only thing that I've notice with videos cards is the ability of the card to show more colors. But this is only half of the story since the monitor also makes a difference.  I work on poser from two different computers and the poser with the better video card is able to show more color range. Other than that poser just sucks up alot of RAM

I think people rather use the brushes because it allows you to be flexible with it.  Sometimes I use my cloud brushes to give a dust effect, a fog effect, or a smoke effect, depending on the type of cloud brush that I'm using.

The only male model that I would use for anime is Hiro3.  I purchased Hiro3 about a month ago and really haven't done much with it., but I know I will eventually get to creating characters out of him.  The down side to Hiro3 is that there isn't many clothes out there for Hiro3.

I think when I purchased Hiro3 I came across a statement where he can wear the male clothes from other figures.  I haven't tried this yet so I'm not sure. The one thing I do know is that I want to create some great male anime with Hiro3.  I like sexy anime characters, but I'm starting to burn out with aiko3.  I think it's way over due for some cool looking male anime characters.

What type of anime style are you going for?  Certain models work better for other depending on the type of anime style you are looking for.  If you are going for the traditional anime and manga styles then anime doll might be the figure you want to use.  If you are looking for a modern anime style then I would use Aiko3 with her morphs.  

You can buy Cloud Brushes that will give you that type of effect.

Wow.. with those odds I hope people will still create content.  It looks like I'll really have to put my business knowledge to work.  I guess there is a such thing as too much competition.

I hope poser 8 is runs better than poser 7.  Hopefully they will bring out more "anime features" for poser 8 instead of "toon features."

I know there are many poser artists that take pride in not doing post work, but Photoshop CS allows me to combine my other artististic skills with poser.   For me having the option to add to a work is a plus.

It's currently a hobby for me, but hopefully I can turn it into something big.  I'm surprised that so many are making very little money with it.  Hopefully poser will get a big boost with the younger digital generation coming up.

I know people that make about $300 a month making pixel stuff and my goal is to double that. I just have to find the right way to package poser art.

Nice bike, but will it work with poser 7?  I'll have to check to see if may Shade 7 can handle 3DS
