The lava is such a nice texture to work with that it does come up with faces and patterns all its own as I work with it. ..so, that face you see is not really intentional, I was just working to get a "realistic" flow and "logical" pattern on the body. (hmm...should "realistic" and a lava-man be in the same sentence?..eh...i dont know :) ) Rawnrr

Aye...it is a great series, but I personally think many of the images would be quite hard as they keep talking about all the teeth and jaws all bending and stretching out of shape....but it would be interesting :)

Hi Klutzo Getting a texture map to a good size to work with is probably the first thing you should look into doing. For my maps on the Michael character I make the image size to no less than 1500x1500 pixels. Then you have a good size to put on the details as you wish. There are free seam guides for the Michael (and victoria) character that you can download from the freestuff forum, so that you do not need to make your own templates in UV mapper...they are very helpful. But even with custom props which you map in UV mapper, you can also take the template into photoshop and increase its size to a suitable size to add your details. Basically, the larger the (pixel) size of the file, the greater the detail will be on your object. It is good to work with props that do not have such a large variant in facet sizes...it makes it a bit easier to texture nicely.....but I think that will always be a hassle with this art....until we all get computes that can handle billions of facets on an object without flinching :) Rawnrr
