Thanks Gebe but all I need is the pine cone part of the tree. I have Onyx Tree Pro for my pine trees but they dont have a feature in my version for adding pine cones to it. What I'm working on is a Christmas Wreath and wanted to decorate it with pine cones. They would probably be easy enough to model but I am on a real time crunch. It bugs me cause I could have swore I saw one once. Oh well, thanks for trying Gebe. RE

Thanks Gebe but I had the same thoughts you did and tried those first. I thought I saw one on a site like PlanIT 3D once. Maybe it was just wishfull thinking. Thanks for the help anyway. RE
Thread: (LONG PR ALERT) Mover 4 Brings Advanced Animation to Vue d | Forum: Vue
Thanks for the info. Unfortunatly its not what i was hoping for :) The reason I like the way Bryce does it for a single image is because we have an abundance of machines at my studio and over 50 more that I have permission to tap into next door at an ISP. We use Bryce for large scale posters for some clients and I was hoping to eventually replace it with Vue. I'm not too eager to have to buy more processors to accomplish this since I already have all these other machines here and more at my disposal. Maybe its a feature you could research for future versions. It would be nice to have the functionality of some of Bryce's features (like network rendering for single images) with Vue's superior rendering and materials. Just an idea. Thanks for the info though. I was ready to purchase Mover but since its only for animation I really cant use it. Keep up the good work!

Hi Lynn, Mover sounds great but I was wondering if you could shed some light on one of my posts about it. Basically what I am curious about is the HyperVue Network Rendering and if that applies to still images besides animation. I would like (as Bryce has included in it) the ability to network render a large still image. Thanks http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12368&Form.ShowMessage=800314
Thread: Mover Question | Forum: Vue
gebe, Thanks for the info, I suppose that would work. I might as well get Mover and try this out sometime. Maybe in a future update to it they can work it so it renders on still images too. Either way this will be a big help in render times. I do a lot of poster size 3d renderings for clients and need high res images. So mover would be a great help in that area. Thanks again for testing that out for me, ImagineThat

I wish we could get one of the tech guys at e-on to absolutly clear this up for us. This would be a great feature to have.
Thread: Mover Question | Forum: Vue
Wow very cool Guitta, thanks for the effort! We have all sorts of machines at my studio and I was hoping to find out if it worked before I purchased Mover. Good to know that it does, (well it looks like it does according to Guitta's test). This would be a great addition to Vue. I agree with NightVoice that E-on needs to reword Movers explanation on this since some of us would like to use that feature for large single images and not only animations. Thanks for the replys and hard work on this guys :-) Looks like I need to purchase Mover now.
Thread: e-on software support gone? | Forum: Vue
I do have one question regarding the tech support part on e-on's site. Maybe I just missed it but I was wondering if there is a way to browse all of the knowledge base articles without doing a search. Sometimes searchs dont work the best and I'd like to be able to browse other posts. Just wondering. Thanks, Randy
Thread: Vue Problems on OSX | Forum: Vue
I have on other piece of info I might not of mentioned before on the rainbow text and such. All of these problems (except for the random crashes) do not happen under the other versions of Vue 4. They only happen when I update to 4.06. So now I am thinking its not a mac or OsX problem but maybe with the updater. I have even tried redownloading the updater and unstuffing it in different ways. Same problem each time when I update. All of the bugs I have mentioned come back. Could be wrong on the updater, not trying to place blame anywhere, just want to get it figured out.
Thread: Vue Problems on OSX | Forum: Vue
Hello Lynn, That would be great to hear from Mr. Bell. I am really stumped on this but I suspect you are right on the video card issue. It would make sense, I guess, with whats happening to the dialog boxes. It must be a driver issue with ATI and Vue. I have taken some screen shots of some of the problems. I really hope to get this worked out soon. I have a big project for a client that I would love to use this for. Its, in fact, the reason I ordered Vue. I have been using Bryce since its first version but am wanting to switch to Vue for good. From what I have seen while messing with it is extremely impressive. Thank you so much for your time and fast reply to my post. Randy Earles Imagine That Studios www.nowimaginethat.com
Thread: Vue Problems on OSX | Forum: Vue
Thanks for the reply audity. Yeah I have done all of that and even contacted e-on but no reply yet. I really like Vue when it works and it really beats Bryce in a lot of areas. I would hate to go back but I do have projects to do. I hope e-on can figure this out. Thanks again, Randy
Thread: A simple question for the Mac users out there... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
OSX is the way to go! Sure not everything is ported to X yet but most of the major apps will in due time. Some of Adobe already is and on my G4 450Mhz, photoshop runs very good in classic under X. Bryce already is in X and it looks like alot of the big 3d programs are heading that way. Even the folks who make Maya decided it was time to go Apple. What people have to remember is this is a new operating system, not an upgrade. Be patient with it and try to work with it. I think some people look at it and all they see is the aqua interface and think thats all Apple did with the operating system. Look deeper, look at all of the things mac users griped about in the past that the pc people had and we now do. Protective memory, multi-tasking, opengl, better network support and so on. Besides the major difference is its based off of UNIX. A very stable and open source code. Ok its not completely bug free. Anyone know of many operating systems that are? Why not develope for OSX now and not only stay with the game but in some cases be ahead of it. There are always going to be die hards that refuse to embrace anything new. There is comfort in what you are used to using even if the promise of something better is out there. I still remember people thinking OS 8 was radical and too troublesome. How funny that seems now. I dont think its a meaningless poll at all. If I were a software company I would want peoples opinion whether they agree with mine or not. Why not be open minded? Imagine That (RE)

Thread: Weeping willow tree ? | Forum: Bryce
That is a very good willow tree example. I wonder though, are there any spiral long leaves in Bryce 5? Here in Iowa we have willow trees with leaves like that, not sure what species or if they are like that everywhere. They are very long and spiral downward.
