What those two said. Location also helps. I can't tell if the object is in front of, beside, or behind the skeleton and that's going to affect things. If it is a 2d plane, than I assume that could cause issues as well.
Also, if you don't know how to use render settings go to Scripts > Partners > Dimension3D > Render firefly and change it from there. The default one doesn't have as many options.

Props, I'm surprized there isn't a check box for ads you want to run... like select 3 or 5 or whatever at the same time.

The MP staff really need to get on the vendors' cases for not including credits.

Okay, thanks for letting me know. I didn't know if it was a legacy feature that was retained for backwards compatibility or not.

They fundemental problem is they aren't built for lazy people. Or people who aren't 100% committed to learning all the nitty gritties.
Take that stuff about deleting magnets. I would in no manner think of doing that. Part of it is because I don't know how to off the top of my head. I have enough problems getting the mat room to do anything on my own. The other part is I'd kind of expect those to be symmertrical by default.
IMO here's the hugest problem with all poser's figures (including genesis and V4). I've done a lot of research on the matter so I know it to be true. There's got to be at least 8 fixes and options for this one thing for V4 alone.
Boobs.
Base characters don't have enough or good enough boob options for females. You've got size, gravity, squish, and movement. You've got both morphs and magnets to fix 'em. It's good there are so many fixes on the market but still, all breasts are horribly broken and insufficent by default. We probably need some kind of dynamic breasts, but I don't think poser is built to handle that.
:D

Thread: Semi OT: Now that Halloween is over I can say this | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Laurie, I think a horror tag would work as a lot of halloween (and most of it I don't like besides the little beggers) falls under horror.
Direwraith: that's human history for you. Things being relatively nice now is not normal.

Generally speaking 8-14 give or take in both directions. If there was something simple around 5 or so that does what I need it to, I wouldn't be picky.

Thread: how to make swords look real | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Swords aren't necessarily trerribly heavy; the Wallace Sword ia a two-handed claymore that is 5' 6" including the hilt, and weighs 6 pounds...
But the men at arms buster sword weighed around 50lbs and threw the guys back out when he tried to use it.

Thread: This is a little more than just nostril glow | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The part that's reflecting isn't the nostril material, which is the one in the first quote. That's the one I tried to completely disable and it had no effect. In the second quote, since I can't make it completely black, I disabled the specular on the skinface material or whatever it's called.
Sorry for not being clear.

Okay, I'm 100% sure it is not nostril glow. I'm calling it nostril specular fubar.
It seems to be happening due to a combonation of 3 things: the image map (I'm thinking it's the tone and color of the skin), the amount of specular reflection, and the angle of the light. Whenever I disable the specular component, the problem goes away.
I'm thinking the best option for this problem would be a blender map which turns off specular for that area when it pops up.
