Quote - If you stand Antonia next to V4, you can see that V4 has an unusually long torso.
Her abdomen is long compared to Antonia.
Antonia has a more normal scale and this is why she is also easier to pose.
This is the result! V4, virtual amy_aimei, Antonia, and V3. Now, I think Victoria is too slim, or looks too slim.
Quote - Antonia does indeed have rather long legs by default. I think she'd make a fine runner or runway model. For a more average figure, it's a good idea to reduce the y-scale a bit on the thighs and shins.
I think the average ratio of torso to leg length is probably somewhere in the middle between Antonia and virtual amy_aimei, but maybe a bit closer to the latter.
Generally speaking, I seem to recall that adult women tend to have shorter legs in relation to their body height than adult men or teenage girls.
In fact, I have found the proportions are vary depend on the ethnic group and the generation. I considered to be tall as a Southeast Asian born in the 80's because I have longer torso comparing to my peers but more Southeast Asians born in the 90's are at my height because they have longer legs. My conclusion is the generation born in the 90's are taller because, in general, they have longer legs than the one born in the 80's.
BTW, virtual amy_aimei is based on many scaling changes I made to V4 and with a custom morph. Too bad, every clothing need to be morphed to fit. It is not practical! I would like to know when Antonia will be stable for morphing.

Quote - Amy, I notice that in the updated version, the collars of the beach volleyball top won't morph using Daz Studio morph follower, while in the older versions they did. This renders any brest or body morphs useless (at least for me!) I noticed this using the Age 19 PMDs.
Thought I'd point this out, though I don't know why it would occur- maybe there needs to be some blank channels for those body parts?
The new version does not contain collar bones. Therefore, it will not take any morph for the collar. I would like to suggest that you use D-Former in DAZ Studio or Magnet in Poser to fix the problem.

See " Realtime Physics Now in DAZ Studio" http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=132387 for details.
About you question about Blender. You can import the result from Blender into DAZ Studio by using the OBJ export at Blender and import the .obj into DAZ Stduio.

Forgot to tell you that you will need to download the Google SketchUp to work on the model that does not have a Collada format. DAZ Studio can import Collada format.
And these are all FREE models. Of course, it may not meet your required "quality" but you should be able to "enhance" it by making the parts yourself or downloading them.

Quote - Tried your set AmyAimei (the one you just linked) in poser pro 2010, here it is conformed. Conforming alone causes no issues I see. On the extreme pose it pulls away a bit, but I don't think that's what you were asking about. I can try other bends if you need them to verify anything. note I used Antonia 123A. Hope this helps.
It seems strange to me. I don't have Poser. Can anyone help to test it/fix it?
Thread: Antonia - Opinions? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I tried to fix the problem as described by lesbentley. I edited the .cr2 and set the initValue to 0 for all rotations. I tested it with DAZ Studio, it acts the same as before, i.e., it works in DAZ Studio.
Haruchai, could you try it in Poser?
odf, you are right! I'm using 122's cr2 as the base because it is the one that is available at the time I started.
Updated version can be downloaded from

Quote - > Quote - How can it be done in the cr2?
Well what I mean is, in Poser you could just load the figure, zero it in the Joint Editor, use the Memorize function in the Edit menu, then save the figure back to disk. I'm assuming there is some way to do the same thing in D|S.
What the above is actually doing at a code level, is setting the 'initValue' lines in all the rotate channels to zero. That must be done for a conformer if it is to be used in Poser.
In your panties, the hip and hip2 are OK, but the initValue lines in the rotate channels of the thighs are none zero, and this is what will be causing the problem.
I did not find that issue with DAZ Studio, that's why I never aware of this issue. I did not modify the thighs, it is copied from Antonia's cr2. Should it be cleaned up in Antonia's cr2 too?
Thread: Antonia - Opinions? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Amy, it tight be worthwhile for you to do that with the cr2, to save other users from running into the same problem.
How can it be done in the cr2? I don't know. Please help me.

I am having an issue in Poser8 though.Doesn't happen with 'Fit To' in DAZ Studio so I'm guessing it is a Poser problem. Just not sure if it is my copy of Poser or a wider issue.
I think someone had the similar issue with the older release of my conforming clothing. You may try to set Antonia to zero pose first, then add the clothing. Please let me know if it helps or not.
Thank you for testing it in Poser.

Hi odf,
I have a suggestion. It seems that lesbentley is working on the same issue. Do you think that the Google Code project can facilitate the sharing of the "code" development? I feel that we are in a kind of "open source" project.
FYI, after I made the rendered picture of Antonia holding 2 water guns, I've found that some issues with her neck, it doesn't turn well.

Quote - Okay... drumroll
I think I've finally managed to get the hand scaled in a way that works equally well in both Poser and DAZ Studio. Here's what I did: ...
Wow! That's great! Antonia is one step closer to 0.9.124, right?
Thread: Antonia - Opinions? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Okay, new rule: no DAZ figure will be mentioned in this thread ever again. If you do, I will terminate Antonia's development immediately. You have to understand, looking at DAZ content gives me brain cancer, so I'm just protecting myself. Thanks!
Sorry, did I say something wrong in my previous message?
BTW, the way I scale the hand of Antonia is by selecting the hand and its children, i.e., the fingers, then apply the scale to them all at once. I did that in DAZ Studio 3.0.1.144. This technique can be automated by a script in DAZ Studio. If it is a fixed scale value, it can be done by using a pose (.pz2 file). Note that the same technique may not work in Poser. The scaling effect in Poser and DAZ Studio seem to have differences.

Hi odf,
I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for. I did that on V4 in DAZ Studio, her left hand is about 180% bigger than her right hand.
I tried the same with Antonia-123, it works too, but the forearm is affected as well, see that.
