If, like me, you're not gonna spend six months learning a 3d modelling program to make a pair of sandals, you can produce clothing using poser alone. Find an object or prop in poser that's close to want you want. Use the grouping tool to select the areas you want to keep and export the results as an object. Map it in UV mapper and make a texture - magnets can help for some things but I find them a bit imprecise for my lowly skills. You should be able to produce a pair of sandals with this method from, say, two-sword's geta (for which I don't have the link right now but it's surely in the web ring below right) You'll also find an open trench coat at the Morphbay site at the link above.

Thread: Manikin Input | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As someone who is strictly an untalented hobbyist, I tend to do only what I have time and money for. That means I don't do animations because I don't have the time to pose the scenes or the money for BHV. If you're proposing an alternative... The snapshots you talk of could be converted to BHV files, posing will generally be quicker and more fool-proof. Personally something like that would interest me as soon as it hits the $200 gadget mark. Even rough and ready posing would be a plus and the ease of use is secondary. If it's $2000, I'm sticking with dials no matter how sophisticated the mannikin is.

These are great models - I have them. Unfortunately (for me) the uniforms are new textures on the P4 models (and they are really great textures). They look great from a distance, especially for dress uniforms, but doesn't give that bulky US overcoat look. But thanks for the tip
