oh my god, somebody went back and posted on a six year old thread? Heh heh, yes, I do have a starship kit in the works as we speak, it's a Capital Ship construct set. The SFCS will have an upgrade too. There is FVCS thread on the first page of Daz3d's Commons forum that shows a lot of the flight vehicle stuff people have been doing, I showed an older wip of the capital ship I'm working on. davo

I do that too Farside, but when you have 10-15 items to have to do that to every time you enter a scene, it's ridiculous. There has to be some kind of fix or reason.

where do you lower the min. shade rate? I prefer p4, it is faster and I don't have to deal with a lot of stupid lighting issues either.

I don't think there are any detached nodes, it's pretty basic, just a bump map on a material. I can check later on. I'm pretty unimpressed with p5 and p6's bump mapping all together. No matter how hard I try, unless I use the p4 render engine with "ignore shader trees" option checked, I can't use bump mapping. I've tried displacement mapping and I get the same results, shoddy edges on the bump mapping and anomolies where the bump mapping crosses a vertice. CL has acknowleged this problem but has never fixed it.

Hi Nalif, Yep, I have to double pick the material, and sometimes it won't hold. This happens every once in a while, but on this scene, it's just about all the time. I've had this happen with reflection maps and standard textures as well. d

looks good to me! Thanks zew3d!! I like the tears you gave away, any change on getting more styles of tears for masker? I'd also like more bruises for the rest of the body as well and whip marks/welts. Keep up the excellent work!

I think that a website that would act as a catalog with a single thumbnail representing each of the independants product, which, when clicked upon, would take the prospective customer directly to the independant merchants website. The independants merchants can be just as independant and creative as they would like to be, on their own website, with their own bandwidth and their own merchant account/payment method. Things to discuss would be who would run/host/maintain the website, what kind of format/software to use, what kind of fees would be imposed to have a page on the website, what kind of search/categorization tools will be available etc. What kind of banner rotation system, image sizes, page setups etc. I'd really be happy to discuss this with any and all independant merchants. Maybe I could set up a free forum somewhere to get discussion going. Davo

@ Maclean: My intention is not to bring down Daz and stomp them out of existance, but focus on ways to bring better light to independant merchants who do not mind doing all the work you would rather not do yourself. @ XFX3D: seekergamingsystems.com and I talked about this thread at lenght this afternoon and would welcome a discussion on setting up some kind of ways and means to bring independants to light.
