Yes that's the problem I'm working around. I've done what CL suggested but the problem persists:( Your script worked very well, I might poke around and see if I can get it to change just the currently selected figure. Be a good exercise for me. But I'm moving forward again now, thanks. Hope you get good mileage from the hot-pants. Thanks! kaveman

You could open the files in 5 and save them again. Be swatting a fly with a mallet but it should work.

Overwrite, miniumum install: No Change Delete Poser6 Folder, Full reinstall: No Change I don't understand this at all. I used to load the hair with colour fine, now Root_Color Tip_Color don't load. I have just run some more tests and the values are saved ok, just don't load back in. Ok, more tests. Poser's trying to be clever. I changed the colours and deleted the Noise node. Look in the .pz3 colours set and NO noise node in the whole file. Quit Poser, open Pose,r Load test.pz3 file and the colours are set to black and there's now a Noise Node linked to the Hair Node. What the??? I've just wasted 3 hours and now very confused.

Thread: Postwork - Yes or No, and why? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I not only feel comfortable with post-work, I love doing pre-work. I open my textures and alter those, I mess with my bump files and now IBL images. Then mess with the morfs and faceroom. The "renders" are just as small step along the road. After that it's composite, I can go through layer after layer of mods. All the time fighting not to arrive at an overworked muddy mess. If the look I want requires printing and onto the light table and re-scanning then that's what I use. I even use other peoples skills and equipment like the local camera shop to do my final printing. From idea to item, you can't use Poser to frame or bang the hook in the wall and that's about as post as you get. So I'm a use the best tool for the job type and have fun at every step. All that said I also like to push myself and develop good skills with each tool. Why use two when one will do.

The next step... Is it a violation to use the concept of a 3d point in space? or that car widow wipers automagicly starts when it rains, or the idea that something can vibrate in your hand for feedback fun. The US law say yes, and Sony has 90 million reasons to say no. Shocking. If you have the money and/or power you can stake your claim where-ever you want. Patents the Goldrush of the 90's. Might is right, the deepest pockets, the biggest guns, win. Is that "right" or "fair"? So we arrive at chaos, where you do what you want until someone bigger stomps you and takes what you have. That's what we see every day. And so that small creative individual silently hides their beautiful hair prop, that they would love to share with the community. The community that freely shared their knowledge to help him understand how to make. And the world becomes a sadder, drabber, uniform shade of grey. I hereby now claim all rights to that Shade of Grey. Knew there must be an angle here somewhere;-) "Money, get back. I'm all right Jack keep your hands off of my stack. Money, it's a hit. Don't give me that do goody good bullshit." PF DS. "The love of money is the root of evil" The Bible

It is interesting that copyright law was initially intended to limit ownership and ensure that intellectual property became public domain. It was designed to allow and fostering creative and cultural progress. Yet are we using it as a tool to achieve the complete oposite. 3D content is a very new industry, how will meshes, like Uni-mesh, be viewed in 50 or 70 years? Could Vicky become another Micky? Will future models need to carefully trace their digital DNA? Will the Mesh Police be banging on the door? Do the choices of now effect the future? Ahhhhh, here's the nice men, in white coats with my medication;-)

"The question is, would giving it to someone else who already own the head, would that be a copyright violation?" "That would be concidered Frankensteining." 3d Content seems to be me to be one of the strangest and indeed a unique area in relation to copyrights and intellectual property ownership. With many many different views. Saddly, I see two main controlling forces at work firstly, The my pockets are deeper than yours method, this is where a threat of legal action comes from a person or Co. that has the resources to take the matter to the lawyers. Both parties know that, due to the complexity of the issue it's going to be very very expensive. The poorer party normally agrees to the terms of the richer. We also see this method use indirectly as control over shops and outlets. You sell this contested product we will also sue you, rich wins poor looses. The other method I would call public crucifixion, this method of control is where a community, labels the goods and/or creator with nasty names, using public ridicule and abuse. This method is often overtly fuelled by competitors. A business normally doesn't want to be called Witches, Hackers, Pirates or Frankensteins. They want their community and potential customers to trust them. To save face and their market place they drop the contested product. The result is mob rule. In both these cases the real issues remain unresolved. There is no legal resolution and injustice is the inevitable results. Issues of what is right or fair are sidelined by the rich and powerful. Innovation and creativity may be eventually extinguished. The old laws of ownership and usage rights have not transferred well into this international/digital age and lawlessness prevails. I'm no lawyer but I know laws have national boundaries. So what is illegal in New Zealand may be ok in the US. Here it is illegal to rip your purchased CD to play on your MP3 player, for your own use. China has different set of copyright laws. Consensual sex in NZ is legal for 16 year olds, illegal in most of the US. By what method do we determine what is right or wrong? Returning to geeps point, I feel for personal use, it should be allowed under fair use. To sell the results as part of your own product, I don't have pockets deep enough or the courage to express any opinion in this forum. But rest assured I wouldn't do it.
