You open bryce, select a terrain, go into the terrain editor, set the resolution to 512 or 1024 go into the picture menu ( at the right of the editing tool window ) import your picture, Blend the picture, apply the picture... and click on OK!

Not hard Marc! if you can draw squares and circle with photoshop using only shade of grey, then you know how to paint some elevation map!

Well it can't give a constant level of light, because the render engine is based on raytracing algorithm, and this algorithm just can't calculate a light source as a coherent light source (like a lazer) because it's based on natural light behaviour.

not if you give your parallel light twice the height of it longer side. if your light is 250 long, then it should be 500 tall.

er... why would you need to place parallel light side by side, when you just gotta resize only one parallel light to get the same result?

Excellent work here my friend, as I can see we got the same way to "find" details by looking at existing industrial reference pics. it's the way to give a model a realistic look, even if it's a sci-fi model. once again excellent work.

Interesting article, same kind of stuff, the "electro-cynetic" theory is quiet impressive too, and it really works, you can built at home a flying object, without any engines for propulsion but electricity.
