Thread: GRASS... | Forum: Vue
That's an interesting approach. I'm going to play around with it and see what I can do in Vue.

No, I don't mean the seam guide for M3 himself. I'm looking for the seam guide for the M3 body suit.
Thread: GRASS... | Forum: Vue
Yeah, scatter replicate is the way to go. Can run into a few polygons, but if you need grass, you need grass. Admittedly, entering all those numbers is a hassle. Part of my wishlist for Vue would be a function that allows you to place your object at one corner, click, and have that info remembered by Vue, then you would take it to another corner, click, memorized again. Then you could just go to scatter/rep, tell it how many you want, and zapppp, you've got grass, or trees or whatever. Good luck.
Thread: Alpha Plane Non- Tranparency Problem | Forum: Vue
Thanks, but this time I'm trying to recreate a particular historic spot near where I live, so I am taking photos of it from various angles an applying them to alpha planes. I did go to the site though, and it looks like some useful stuff. Thanks again.
Thread: * * * NOVEMBER CHALLENGE BEGINS * * * | Forum: Vue
I was a little confused about the rules for the last challenge. So, I can make use of Poser or other imported objects as long as things are rendered in Vue, right?

Thread: Old Brycer jumps ship.. needs life boat :-) | Forum: Vue
I liked Bryce, but the program took so long to render I just couldn't take it anymore. Vue is much faster, and the trees (in my opinion) are better. The Bryce guys had better get on the ball before that ship sinks. Anyway, welcome aboard the S.S. Vue.

Thread: Where for art thou, Mover 5? | Forum: Vue
I've tried to stay out of this childish squable, but... You are aware, I assume, Purloinus, that no one here is actually employed by E-on? If you want to yell, yell at them. I started this thread just to get my question answered. Yet every time my email notifys me that someone has posted a response, I come here, only to find you posting another rant. Please start your own anti-Vue thread, and leave mine alone.

Thread: Where for art thou, Mover 5? | Forum: Vue
No, Wabe, I'm pretty sure it's more than a render 2d effect, otherwise you wouldn't be able to export the resulting cloth as an object (3ds or whatever). Of course, exporting the object this way means you have to resize it and re-texture it in Vue, plus you can't do animation. But still, I'm pretty sure the effect is more than illusory. The problem is that without Mover 5, you can't just directly and fully import these "dynamitized" scenes into Vue. I checked the E-on site, and found nothing about a release date. BTW, I do agree with Purl. that Pro popped up out of nowhere, but that's a seperate matter. I think Vue is an amazing product, I just want it to marry itself to another great product, Poser 5, so I can hear the pitter patter of little animations. Thanks to everybody for their input:)
Thread: Light Power | Forum: Vue
Hi, BigGreen. Basically, I was interested in demonstrating that signal fires at one of the turrets or Milecastles along Hadrians could in fact have been seen for some distance, and alerted forces farther away. Recent articles in some scholarly journals had cast doubt on this. But it's no problem, since it's not really central to my thesis. Thanks for the interest.
Thread: Light Power | Forum: Vue
Oh well. I guess I'll have to forgot about that one. What I was going to do was import a dem. file and try to demonstrate that the light of a signal fire could have been seen from a certain distance, since I can't afford to actually fly to Britain myself to test it, even assuming they'd let me start a fire at a national monument:) Thanks anyway guys.
