The downloads are given so you can download the files while waiting for the disks to arrive, just in case you can't wait. :P If you ordered the version with free Content Kit, you'll get the second CD along with the 5.5 CD (as Dan indicated). -darlisa
Thread: Importing an .obj model, then Exporting it | Forum: Bryce
I don't believe Bryce can export the bitmaps on a mesh using the E/Ctrl-D method. It can only export them when applied to a terrain and exported as in my tutorial.
Thread: Abraro trees in Bryce | Forum: Bryce
The trees at DAZ are not using the default presets but modified settings. The basic tree shape will be the same since its programmed in, but the exported tree is not a default preset.

You can also get the textures out as pics if you apply them to a terrain and export the terrain. See the tutorial link above.Thread: Well, its done, BUT........... | Forum: Bryce
Or ... provide just the center section and one support in two scenes with instructions on duplicating the support and placing them correctly.

A suggestion to make the file size smaller .. split the model up into five scenes instead of one OBP file - the Center section in one scene and each support into four scenes (or two supports per scene). You can then zip them up as separate files and the users can merge the scenes to get the compelete model.
Thread: New Download link for Orbitals freestuff - get these .obp's! | Forum: Bryce
Okay, the rocks are fine. Are the trees Bryce trees that are grouped with the rocks? If so, grouped Bryce Trees crash Bryce 5.01 and 5.5 when attempting to import or export them from the Objects Library or on trying to select/create them from the library. The OBP can be placed in the Objects folder to access, It can be selected in 5.01, but crashes on clicking on the checkmark and in 5.5, crashes if you even select the object. If you create an object with grouped Bryce Trees, it can be saved to the library, but they can't be used. Hence the problem DAZ had with the Content Kit and Foleypro's trees. If you provide the object as a Bryce scene, then folks can use it.

You can't do it automatically, but Susanna will do the imports for you - http://www.datamike.com/susu2.htm? - or you can do it manually - http://dawnstarproductions.50megs.com/tutorials/Panim2B.html

Thread: Bryce 5.5 Freebies Pushed Back... Once More Again! | Forum: Bryce
The availability of the Bryce 5.5 Content Kit/Seriously Real Materials for free with 5.5 has only been changed, once, not three or four times and was done to accommodate the release of the boxed version.

Fran, DAZ has a 30 day money back guarantee, just contact them and let them know. On each product page, there is a listing of any required products and the Fire Dragon page lists the Mil Dragon 2.0 as a required product. It also has text on the main promo that it is a texture for the Mil Dragon 1&2, as does the description. It's easy to miss those sometimes in all the excitement.

"I think I read somewhere that was an Issue...I think I did...Maybe...;0)" Yes, Brian, that was me that brought the Bryce Tree in an OBP import/export crashing Bryce problem up. Unfortunately, at the time, I was the only one having the problem and it couldn't be duplicated by anyone else.
