Dunno about the scripts, might have to do with the way they're installed or perhaps something with embedded paths... I guess we'd have to see one to know. ;-)

Thread: Now I REALLY feel sorry for Mac users ... MK Scripts ROCKS!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What's this about being stuck with a Mac? :-S I'm the proud owner of a brand new G4. I'm not stuck with it, I was dying to have it! ;-) I don't regret it one bit. It's my 3rd Apple computer (well, 4th if you count the Apple IIe I had in the 80's) -- I've never owned an IBM compatible of any kind. I am also a computer programmer. And I spend all my days working on a PC at the office. I'm not stuck with that computer either, I love working with it. :o) It is possible to use and like both. My Mac is not better than the PC I've got at work, and the PC is not better than the Mac, they're different, that's all. And I must say I'm happy to get to work with the other when I'm tired of one, lol! Both sides (Mac users vs. PC users) can be closed minded and generally are. But either way, I think the important thing is that the computer you use suits your needs. oh... and respect for others likes & beliefs is also important. That goes for both sides, lol! ;-)

You can have a pose file for all the mats you like. :o) The floor tiles are really gorgeous in your render, and the rest of the room looks great! Would be fun to have tables and chairs in there, maybe...?? Oh! I've got an Mac - a nice friendly one, too, lol! And I've got plenty of time to test stuff. ;-) 'later! Caroline

Yeah, yeah, rub it in. lol! I saw the info for the package and was drooling all over my keyboard, only to find out I can't use it... argh!!!! :-( I guess if I had an idea what the things do more exactly, I might be able to make some AppleScripts...?? Dunno if that's possible at all though - never tried it... Oh hum...

Thread: The End of an Era | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I was really very sad to hear this. :-( It was finding Thorneworks on the web that got me interested in Poser and computer art in general. I wish you luck for the future and especially - peace of mind. The magical beings that grew & lived on your website will be sorely missed. I'm mostly sad to see that people have such closed minds that they cannot see past their little noses... What can Faeries possibly have to do with child abuse or pronography, I wonder? They're just virtual creations that live in our hearts & minds, so we choose to give them a human body - did God not create us in his image? Should our creations not ressemble us also? Besides, no matter how young they look, I always thought Faeries were hundreds of years old - then again, maybe I'm just completely loony all together! There is an exhibition here this summer of Picasso's works. It's called "Picasso Erotica". They're beautiful and very insightful works of Art - yet they are also very sexual, of course. Would anyone ever think of calling it pornography? Would anyone label the paintings as "dirty images"? Of course not, Picasso is one of the greatest artists that ever lived! But I do wonder, had he been living now and had his creations been done on a computer and circulating on the Internet - what would they be viewed as?? What would people thik if the paintings were made days ago, instead of years ago? Same goes for any other great painter, sculptor - noone thinks of it as anything but art. So why would they judge computer art differently? Can't great artists of today use computers to create their work? Strange thing about evolution, once you get too evolved you tend to regress a huge deal... Just the other day I was browsing the website of Le Louvre museum in Paris and I came across a wonderful painting by Raphael (right here if you want to see it too: http://www.louvre.fr/francais/collec/peint/inv0602/peint_f.htm) now, this is a madonna with two beautiful babies at her feet - nude babies, might I add. Should this be labelled as child pornography? Of course not!!! But "duplicate" this on your computer, post it on the Internet and some closed-minded uneducated dweeb flames you for showing it off. Please!!!! I'm sure noone even thought of covering children's eyes when they saw paintings by Rubens, many centuries ago - yet now, any little piece of flesh is obscene and can't be seen, the poor things might be offended! They won't be offended if you use it as an opportunity to teach them to love their bodies, to appreciate what a wonderful thing they are -- they probably wouldn't turn out to be anorexic either, but that's something else altogether... Of course, there are people coming to this site looking for pictures of nakes women with big breasts (and other things I don't even want to think about) - probably because some people here are more than happy to give it to them, whatever their motives for doing so is. I guess that's part of the problem.... What really annoys me is that people will suffer because of other's narrow-minds. Why shouldn't we be allowed to render artistic images that envolve nudity? We can draw pictures of roses and birds (are we going to have to put clothes on them too?) but unless we cover it from head to toe, any image of a person envolving nudity automatically falls in the lines of pornography.... Mother Nature greated the greatest work of Art, it's called the Human Body, why should we not be allowed to honor it in our artwork, as so many artists have done since the beginning of time, simply because we have access to a medium that allows for images to be easily available to anyone. That's what bothers them really, it's that what we create can be made avalable to so many people in a matter of seconds... God forbid it should open other people's minds to a new and growing artform! ...Just my 2 cents. Sorry it's taken the lenghts of a novel! (and please excuse any misspellings, I still do not master English 100%)

Nah! I didn't give it anything to eat, but I have often thought of carryong nuts with me, though. ;-) There were no trees close by. Well, not that close anyway - maybe like 10 feet away from where the pic was taken. As far as glue goes, well!! ;-) I do have a pic of a squirrel on a tree, but it's a little blurry so I didn't think it was worth posting - it's nice for showing off, but not nearly nice enough to show to people on a site like this! ;-)

Oh! And although I was actually walking in the park in the hopes of taking a pic of a squirrel, I didn't actually stop and wait forever for one to come by. ;-) I'm not that patient!! I was actually on my way back home and I'd just put the camera back in my backpack when I saw this one. Fortunately for me, the little critter didn't look like he was in any hurry to leave. :o)

Thread: Render time? | Forum: Bryce
I wouldn't say they're all the same... I tried the exact same scene in B4 and B5 with the same render options and the B5 was wayyyy slower. :-( BTW, if you want to try it out for yourself, there is a 20 day trial version of B5 on the Corel website. That's where I got it so I could compare speeds. :o)

That's vicky, right? ;-) Looks nice, eyebrows could be a little smaller and... ah... I think her eyes make her look too nice, as opposed to the mouth (she's obviously not one you should mess with, lol!) A nice touch also would be scales with a bump texture on her skin. ...she's fish-like, no?

Thread: Do the eyes have it this time??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
NINE HOURS of rendering? Man, that's huuuuge! That's more that a whole night's sleep, lol! Good luck! :o) I can't wait to see the final image!

Looking good! Texture is awesome now! And I think the iris size is just about right (well, for a normal human being, anyway, lol!) It's just the lacrymal glands that are bugging me a little, on his right eye it looks like you see too much of it and on his left, like it's not "hugging" his eyeball too well... More apparent on the close-up, of course.

Thread: The Eyes Have It... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think they look pretty good, but the iris seems a bit too small, imho. plus, it could use a texture where you could see some of the red veins you would normally see in someone's eye. :o)
