There's a python script INCLUDED with P5 and P6: Sefan's I do believe. It's located under the Render /IO menu of your python window. The link Tyger purr gives above is a GREAT (as in Frosted Flakes are ... he he) GREAT resource. There's also an old thread on Renderosity: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12356&Form.ShowMessage=2014883 Herein did Bushi work most fine. Best Wishes, RanceIt depends if you are using Poser5 or Poser6. If you are using Poser6, there is an eays trick: - select the camera and use the dial "focal_distance". A prop will appear... just move the dial until the prop is where you want the focus. - then, the "f_stop" dial set how far from the focus it will be blurry. For this one, the only trick is to try... For rendering, while you are doing test render, use very low "Pixel samples". But for the final render, use a greater value.
Most welcome, Laetia. Semidieu, the Python script is also included with P6 and may be used. I think the the tool you speak of would be a great way to determine F-Stop. It's really fun to play with these features and some interesting effects can be achieved. This is a great topic. Best Wishes and happy rendering, Rance

:-S I've read the manual, but it keeps referring me to another section and I'm totally lost here - I've seen some awesome renders done with depth of field, mine are 100% blurry and awful. :-( Is there a "dummy's guide to" someplace or can someone explain in dummy terms for me? I'm just trying to do a pinup with the rest of the scene blurry, you know... All I've been able to achieve is somewhat of an annoyance with Poser. ;-) Thanks! Caro
