Completely ignorant of this challenge, I just uploaded a free download to weirdass.net. A boolean traffic light with real nyc street signs attached. Also check out the brick textures and brick wall. Feel free to use them to your hearts content ladies and gentlemen, and good luck with the challenge. check out http://www.weirdass.net/images/gallery_posts/traffic_light_download/NYstreet.jpg for what some of these textures and forms look like in action.Thread: p4 nude male and PPP - anyone solved missing hip? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Imagine if your doing a daily comic strip and half of your cast lost their hips... now thaat is scarrrryThread: p4 nude male and PPP - anyone solved missing hip? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Don't ask me, this is verbatim from the email that curious labs tech sent me. I'm just passing it on. MitchThread: p4 nude male and PPP - anyone solved missing hip? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Quoted from a Curious Labs technical support email on this subject: The missing genital switch needs the hipnogen object in a runtime/geometries folder that was missed. Runtme/Geometries/Poser4Figures/create a folder named "P4NudeMphMan" and copy the file from P4NudeMan called "blHipNoGen.obj" to the new folder. Try the above I cannot open the CR2 to be sure it is the proper path the above solution is for windows but the folder arrangement is most likely Identicle. Tech PS The Poser 2 figures work with the genitals on or off. Make sure you did a clean (OS base extention set) install and also allow Propack to update the Metacreations version of Poser 4 do not patch. Also remove the old folder (BACK UP CUSTOM STUFF) before installing Poser and PPP(propack)Thread: Hell's Judgement | Forum: Bryce

Very cool. One suggestion though, try converting some of the fireballs into lights set to disable cast shadows. That'll throw some firelight around. Otherwise, fantastic. Just out of curiousity, what was your render time on this? MitchThread: Weird survey call from corel | Forum: Bryce

Right after xmas, I hooked up with a $99 for 128 Dimm at outpost.com. Don't know if its still active, but check out dealnn.com for all the lastest goodies. I now have three 256's onboard in my G4. Hunnnh-HAA!!! MitchThread: Preparing for printing | Forum: Bryce

Look into Cactus or Iris Printing. Check the back of Wired magazine for ads for this sort of thing. Ask the service bureau what their requirements are, it varies and doesn't necessarily have to 300 DPI. MitchThread: Printing Bryce Renderings | Forum: Bryce

Resolution does not matter. Pixel count does. Traditional technologies like 4 color and web offset reproduction use Line Screens which can conflict with the geometry of the pixels. The 300 DPI standard comes the fact that few publications are printed at a higher resolution than 150 Lines per inch. Actually, a lot of your high end service bureaus use a form of printing software not unlike an inkjet, just more accurate and finer (smaller dots). I've done cactus prints at 4 foot for the short dimension, and the file they asked for was and RGB eps @ 1 megabyte per square inch! I know, thats what I said, but the prints turned out very well. Try calling someone a level higher than Kinkos and asking about large format printing- Iris, Cactus, Indigo. Also, check the back of Wired magazine for ads, I think I saw one or two back there. wow, I learned something at work! MitchThread: Rendering | Forum: Bryce

On the Mac at least, Bryce4.1 will allow you to restart a render as part of the batch rendering. (select a group of files, drag them over the bryce icon, make sure the first one starts rendering, turn off the monitor, good night) MitchThread: Killing Poser-People !!!! Dude, you misread my post. I wasn't suggesting you use the war photos as anything but reference for wound/bloody type stuff. Sorry for the misunderstanding and for hitting an obviously passionate nerve. MitchThread: New Processor or Ram or Graphics Card | Forum: Bryce

Also, turn off volumetric world in the sky lab, its a killer. Sometimes, if its meant to be an indoor scene, I'll create a cube or sphere the size of the local universe (planetarium style) to cut down on the amount of light rays to trace (no horizon, no relections of horizon).Thread: Killing Poser-People !!!! ohh, america. Sex is horror and horror is sexy. Love this country. Anyway, Shlabber me boy, I look forward to some truly nasty injuries to inflict on our posettes and posees. Might I suggest a trip to www.rotten.com to check out some of their world war injury photos? I usually mess my guys up in post rendering production, but I can't wait to to see what you've done.
