The user named Sergs posted only a few hours ago in the Poser free section. Do a search on his name or "robogirl". All I did was texture Victoria and import a cropped version of Starmkr's photograph as a background image. Where's the skill in that? Now, if I made at least modeled the background, then I could feel some pride. However, I haven't "fired up" TrueSpace in months. If you want to see a few minor examples of mechanistic modeling, check out the 3D elements of my all but stagnated online comic strip, "Freighter Tails." !CLANG! !THUD! Aw gweat! Ah thimp ah bwoke mah ja'! Seriously, thanks for those specs'! Wow! Rendered in Poser 4 with a relatively "low end" machine?! Lt. Mzzkiti (as "performed" by Lemurtek's Guenevere) would look so cute with a fluffy chest tuft using this technique! Hmm, I'm surprised Little Dragon hasn't popped in. This would enhance his "Furrette" characters as well. Sincerely, Bill

BryceTech, could your procedure be used to "coat" or "fur" Lemurtek's Second Nature anthropomorphic characters? And more importantly, what software must we use to create this effect? I can't imagine Poser 4 being able to handle this. If, on the other hand, Poser 4 CAN be used, the crashing sound you'll hear will be that of my jaw plummeting to the floor. Sincerely, Bill

For fear of upsetting animal rights activists, dare I wonder if it's an animal skin rug, such as a bear skin? Sincerely, Bill

Argh! That should read "invisible!" Just proves why I nearly failed typing. Sincerely, Bill

I will most definitely purchase that robot! I assume you've set aside your project to adapt famous media robots in favor of an original concept? If so, you've certainly produced a photogenic design! Staby, should Dodger opt for a complete body, you can always click on the properties of a specific body part and render it unvisible. Simply "cloak" the limbs and suddenly you'll have a half completed chais sitting on the assembly line or smashed into the rubble of a battlefield. Plus you can parent a prop to a particular body part, such as a mech claw to the blaster forearm. Just a thought. Sincerely, Bill

Argh! How can you forget DAZ's Aiko? She is derived from Stephanie who is, in turn, evolved from Michael. Some people have debated whether her features can be classified as "anime" or "manga." True, she doesn't match the so-called standard design, but with Studio Maya's Yuna Hair and a the proper cybernetic body texture (which I'm researching and planning) she becomes a dead ringer for Kishiro's lead character from "Gun Dream", Gally, better known in America as "Battle Angel Alita." JohnRender, Yes, I'll admit the mechanism in the "LiS" theatrical was a sleek design, very much "mecha" inspired, but in my mind, it was no B9. But, yes, it would make a very impressive model, at is, its earlier "Big Blue" chasis, not the half-@$$ed interpretation of Kinoshita's classic. Sorry for being a yutz. You can upgrade the Enterprise; you can even upscale the Jupiter (which would rationalize its internal volume), but don't try convincing us that a VR controlled Japanese mecha is our beloved B9. Please, don't take that seriously; I'm just having a lil' fun. As I said "Big Blue 9" IS a trippin' design. A real hoot was seeing both it and the Kinoshita 'bot "face off" on a talk show (I think the comedian Sinbad was the host)! Sincerely, Bill

That's a real hoot. I didn't think that technology would ever be mentioned here. Am I being sarcastic and slamming them? Far from it. They are my livelyhood! I am the lead (read: only) AS/400 legacy support systems technical engineer for our company. I have to maintain machines for more than twenty bakeries. Fate decided to tease me by having 3 systems suffer hard disk crashes within the last two weeks. Oy! Sincerely, Bill

Next Generation era Romulans to be precise. To save money and make-up application time, Michael Westmore constructed one of his infernal forehead pieces that already held the upswept eyebrows. Though I understand that in the latest movie (that I haven't seen yet) The Romulans' sister planet Remus shelters a bizarre offshoot looking like nosferatu from German myth. Frankly, I miss the subtle elegance of the original Romulans, beings that could be mistaken for Vulcans. Westmore's look like they're illegitimate offspring between Romulans and (movie era) Klingons. Back to the subject, that's a dang clever use of the displacement tool in UV Pro! Sncerely, Bill

Thread: Rather slick feline morphs | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
LD is correct. That is the commercially available DAZ texture. For the image I used the Vicki 3 to Vicki 2 figure. It's mapped to accept the V2 textures. He also has a valid point. Vicki 3 does not have anything close to a canine morph. It's not like it would be too extreme, however. DAZ did include a morph labeled "gargoyle" with an almost camel-like muzzle, so it does have enough geometry to create one. Oh, and here's the "kicker." It has a set of morphs for the Millenium teeth labeled "Teeth Upper Wolf" and "Teeth Lower Wolf." If Daz wasn't going to include any canine muzzle morphs, they might as well have labeled them "Teeth Upper..." and "Teeth Lower Cat." Maybe we'll get lucky and DAZ will release some lupine morphs as a seperate morph injection package. Sincerely, Bill, Renderosity's resident "furvert"
