I hope he doesn't. many of the other things he has/had made are not bad at all. and I have never hidden my feelings about allora. he's even written me me about it. So I belive he is clear about it. But that dosen't mean that This model isn't a bad one. it could be great, all I'mm saying is that I will not be and this was why. and how am I a whiner if I still have the allora model? I never returned it or demanded my money back. I hoped that updates and addons woudl come, and they to date have not. So I would not think I'm whining, merely stating facts. If people take what i say as gospel ( which I doubt ) they will make their own minds about it. And as i said before I truly hope that this one is better and is more fuctional and that the people that do get this model enjoy thier purchase.

sorry , not impressed yet. I've looked at all the pro-mo images and I know some of the artists that have beta tested this, but after Allora and the lack of updates and other allora items. I'll pass. Now I that I may seem very unfair and I should have mail Mobius withmy feed back, but if he could never see the things needing fixed on his own, then my feed back would have been quite useless. I cannot tell you how many times I have tried to use Allora, all were failures and there was no way to render and post anything that was of any quality. I do hope that his model is a much better and functional one that the first one. and I hope to see many images of this one in the future, but for me? not a chance. I don't like wasting money.

If it is a person, you can take photos and paste them to a texture and blend them in. or use a texture similar to the person and then with Morph targets fashion the face (takes a while to massage them the right way tho) I did one of myself and it is pretty close but a little characature-ish but ppl can tell who it is. There is a application in the marketplace I belive that makes the prosess easier though I have never tried it or heard or seen ppl say they use it. so there you go.

I bought it mostly for the compression stuff it does with rhe PZ3 and cr2 and obj and in that alone works well , but the additional applications like cr2 editor and Morph manager will not see those files to work with them, so i ended up turning that off. POSER does seem to lock up less and run smoother ( altought a little slowewr). With eve vaients it makes a new obj and puts it in the same folder as the Cr2 and in the case of the eveV2 (with real eyes) it adds a new material and adds that map the the mesh. so the next time you load it you have to re load the eye texture and set the "Cornea" material to clear and shiney. Sadly there is no short answer as to is it good to buy or not. In some ways it is better and others not so, but since I don't use the not so's then it really your call.

I don't think he has one.

1. pack up your model and all the textures you used. and try to keep the zip/sit as small as possible. 2. in your readme file explain where the files shoudl go, or at least where you kept the files. And include your real email so if there are problems the folks that download your model can ask you what gives and how to fix it. 3. make sure you are not going to make available any textures, props, clothes that are for sale, or against the original owners releases.(VERY VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT) 4. Make a thumnail size image of what you are releasing. 5. upload the file and the thumbnail to your website, or the free site you use. ( you may need to look at the terms of the site or isp you use to determine if direct linking is allowed, some don't allow it) 6. write down the "Exact" URL to both files. 7 in a new browser type the adresses of both (one at a time) to see if they will display to you, and in the case of the zip, download to you, ( yes download your upload to check the tranfer and if all the files are stil good.) 8 If #7 worked, then while at this site in the freestuff section select upload. 9. that page will ask for the title, what it is, and the URLs of the thumbnail AND the zip or sit. 10. type in the exact url that you tested in the correct fields. there will be a preview button, hit it. 11. at the preiview the thumb should display and it should be linked, select it. and download your file yet again. 12. if both the thumbnail and the zip/sit is visable and downloads to your system then hit the upload button. 13. IF one or niether works then hit the back button or the edit button and check your typing and verify it is correct and ten repeat #11 14. if it worked that time , hit the upload button and let the page update, it wil take you to the sub tree of where you slotted the model ( character,clothes, hair, etc.) 15. select the "What's new and on that page load you should see you addition, if you do, you are done and golden and the community will be glad you did.

I have a far less powered system as you but yes . W2k will not allocate the mem as win 98 does the swapp file is not as dymamic and if things are running in the background the errors will happen.I have not had the system completly bomb out, but i have had to close poser and reopen and start over. remember win2K is NT and uses nt rules of allocation and device use so a app that uses the processor as much as the OS and trhe OS has the keys , guess who losses?

or get steve coxes uv mapper and then you can load all the obj you have (one at a time) and see and save the uv mapping for that model.
