Quote - My latest...
Solitude
(having wierd monitor issues, one monitor this looks too dark, the other looks too bright, yet compared on both at the same time there is little difference - my eyes are going wierd. Too dark or too bright?)
Enjoy,
Abi.
I've been having dark/light issues too, all on the same monitor. I get an image just how I want in Lux but it's brighter in any image viewer. I have to adjust the gamma correction to about .90 in Photoshop on almost every image.

Love what your doing with the black and white....
Thanks KH. And I just realized that image was my 100th post on these forums. Nice way to celebrate.

Now this really is the last image in this series (for now), but I do plan on trying to recreate this look in other settings. Think I'm going to start browsing some old black and white movie posters for inspiration.
This is the one that had 603 materials to edit in Reality. Luckily most of them were in the lower part of the building and didn't show in the scene so I didn't have to do much with them. But still a pain to go though the list in the Reality window.

Quote - brad.. i can get that kind of speed if i network 3 desktops and have just a simple nude model w/hair and a background single light render. add another light.. some clothes.. or a complex scene and i'm at 1/2 that speed w/2 desktops running... so.. therefore.. until i get all the parts for my new pc in.. i am forced to temporarily dislike you.. :D
That's just from my desktop. I'm getting another 10 kS/s from my old laptop over the network.

Quote - Holy crap Brad. 603 materials? how fast is it rendering?
It's running along at 114 kS/s and 134% efficiency.

I thought I was done with this series, but it pulled me back. I have the next one rendering now and at only 10 S/p it's already my favorite of the bunch. With 603 materials edited it better be good.

Quote - > Quote - Nobody has a sense of humor anymore ok... The reason these threads also exist is so he does not have to reply to a billion emails but I will play nice.... Cause I know I will run into more roadblocks down the road...
Im kind of with Reg on this one who decides what is right or wrong.....
The staff at Rendo and it's TOS along with Paolo. He is the one who started this thread and it was not for purpose of posting porn..
I personally don't think it belongs here nor is it inline with the TOS. Porn has it's place, keep it where it is appreciated.
I would like to see you two delete those post and I will explain why. My 11 year old Granddaughter has become interested in 3D and what I am doing with it. When she is over here she works on my computer and quite often reads this thread to learn and further her understanding of 3D art and the use of Reality. She understands nudity in art but does not need to be seeing porn at 11 years old..
I've kept quiet on this so far even though it was my image that it started it. I dug through the FAQ but somehow missed the TOS section. I put in my post that I wasn't sure if it was pushing things because of the contact.
I deleted the image from my gallery but by the time the issue was first brought up I couldn't remove the post because my time limit for editing was over. I can't see any way to remove the forum post myself unless I'm missing something. If any admin/mod wants to do it, please go ahead.
I never had any pornograhic or sexual intentions with my image. I made it in the spirit of horror and terror. She's grabbing him because she's about to chop his junk off. That's shock and terror on his face, not pleasure. That doesn't change the fact that it breaks the TOS, and I've removed what I was able to remove, but I have to agree with Bob on his point about all the bondage images recently that also violate the TOS and no one had a problem with.

Content Advisory! This message contains nudity
I searched around a bit to see if there were any specifics on exactly what can't be posted in the forums and couldn't find anything, so I hope I'm not pushing it with this one.
It started out as a scene of a happy couple, but happy is boring and it's more fun to make it twisted.

Quote - Thanks for all the pc build suggestions. First off, I don't overclock... ever. So, issues surrounding or that arise from overclocking don't apply here. If I did I'd have a big enough water cooler installed before I ever even tried; so, no issues there. Myself, I don't understand why cpu manufacturers unlock cpus enabling them to be oc'ed in the first place. Just set the effing thing to run at it's max speed and be damned with the overclocking business. To me it's like chipping a medium performance sports car to perform like it's higher performing brethren. If it was meant to do it naturally it would.
As far as parts go. My brother in law (owns a pc shop) had nearly the identically set up system and ran a burn in test on it while he was gone for a couple weeks on vacation. Air cooled, cpu with no idle time, ram with no idle time and vid card w/no idle time and it ran w/o a blip and no heat issues. So, I'm pretty confident in the build. Except for my last 2 boxes(a dell and a gateway); I've been building my own pc's since '94; so, it's not my first time to the rodeo.
- The M5A97/FX8150 is a must-have.
- After reading all the comparisons I could and checking the reviews on tomshardware.. the radeon HD7750 is on the must have list also. For the price I can't justify going up to the 7770. No draw off the psu other than what the pci-e slot gives and it's about as silent as a vid card can get. Has 1980x1020 support(max size I go on screen res); and has 3D capability which is a plus as this sometimes doubles as an HTPC and I have a 46" 3D toshiba sitting 2m away from this puter.
- Heatsink I'm going with is the Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO which will keep that beastly 8150 as cool as it need be. If all else fails, I'll temporarily use what I have before. Duct tape one end of a dryer vent to my window air conditioner and the other end to one of the intake fans on the puter.. a piece of cheesecloth between the two to filter out the stray motes of dust and you have a pc that will actually exhaust cold air. Not as efficient or inexpensive(in the long run) as water cooling but does the trick in a pinch. Just the electric bill stays sky high as it's a 25000 btu air conditioner.
- RAM... have taken good advice and switched to corsair vengeance. I may stay with the vengeance and go with a lower clock speed to get 8gig sticks instead of 4. With what we do; the difference is negligible.
- PSU... I THINK I have it narrowed down to the Corsair CX600. Enough to power the system easily. I'm not and probably won't run crossfire so don't need the extra power. Drive-wise it'll just be pushing 2 2-TB green seagate hdd's and bd-rw to start. I might move my system drive to a 120gb ssd sometime after x-mas though.
So, what I'm left with deciding on is the case. My bro in law uses coolermaster almost exclusively for his shop builds and swears by them. The one I'm looking at is capable of holding 5 120mm fans, is bottom-mounted psu(something you sort of need with the tall hyper 212 evo heat sink); has all the ports, bays and hookups you'd ever need and looks pretty cool too. I'll decide sometime between now and Friday.
Priced it all out this morning and it's down to $498.02 w/o the case. Main price drop is due to the 8150 starting to go down due to the gen2 bulldozers coming out in a couple weeks. The box I'm on now is starting to get finicky and not liking when I do mean things to it; so, I'm REALLY looking to rebuild sooner rather than waiting for the next gen dozers to come out. At any rate, the M5A97 will take the next gen w/o missing a beat.
This is the case I have, Cooler Master HAF912. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233&Tpk=haf%20912
Came with 2x120mm fans and I added a 200mm top exhaust and another 120mm on the side blowing in (about $15 for both fans off Amazon). CPU cooler is the Xigmatek Loki which is nearly identical to the EVO. It's currently 72 degress inside my house, I'm running a render with Daz and Chrome open and the steel of the case is cold to touch. CPU at 68C and mobo at 28C.

Quote - 8 xeon cores? okay.. so now i've found a reason to hate you Paolo. :-D I've got the parts list ready for when student loans land in the bank next friday. It goes a little something like this.
Box: Coolermaster Elite 430 w/2 Extra Coolermaster Sickleflow 120mm fans
$47.43
PSU: Diablotek 500w(may go up if I need to)
18.99
CPU: AMD FX8150 (price should be going down in next week as new generation of amd cpu's is out in a couple weeks)
$190
Mobo: Asus M5A97
$95
hdd & dvd-rw pulled out of current box
16gb of crucial pc1333 ram
$80
Vid Card: AMD Radeon 7750(basically the same as the 7770 for 30 bucks less. not what i REALLY want but don't have the 700 bucks for a high end firepro)
$100
Heatsink: Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO(will go liquid cooled in december)
$28560 bucks for about as boss of a single-cpu pc i can build right now
Power supply and mobo are two things you DO NOT want to go cheap on. If you spend extra anywhere, do it on those parts because everything else relies on them. I have never seen anything good about Diablotek and would recomend nothing less than this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020. I have the 850W version and it's great. Stay away from Rosewill psu's too.
Nothing wrong with crucial memory, but Corsair Vengeance or G.skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 are only about $5 more which I think is worth it for the performance difference.
Also check out some other case options. I love Coolermaster, but there are other choices with more fans and better airflow around the same price.

Quote - Steampunk uses too much clothing for my liking .....
One more image in this series, then I'll be back to some nudes for a few days until I get an idea for something more creative.

The steampunk tag seems to get me a lot of hits on tumblr and deviantart, so I'm going to work with it a little longer.

The solution to my tough decision from yesterday. I love B&W, but she's too beautiful not to see in color.
