Thread: Okay one more with techniques suggested...different picture | Forum: Vue
That's a quite powerful image and immediatly invokes feelings of sadness, as if the older woman isn't reflective of getting old, just sad because of it. If that's the thing you had in mind then it works real well. The composition, lighting and pose all suit this picture, well done.

I like what you've done in terms of the girls expression, pose, the lighting and the textures. The bit I think I'd alter is the shadow, it doesn't seem from the shadow that the wolf/dog whatever is focused on attacking the girl, more baying to the moon or howling. Having said that I'm not sure how I'd go about changing it. On the whole a darned good job.

Thanks, I've been wondering what modelling program to try for a while now, I'll give it a go.
Thread: Feedback please :) | Forum: Vue
The textures are brill, as realistic as I have seen absolutley stunning. The only thing I can see that doesn't seem real about this image is the big opening to the left of the bike is unsupported, in the real world this would come crashing down. It needs a lintle like the one over the door. Otherwise the image is, as I've said, stunning.

Yeah Djeser, you said it, Pretty strange. I'm trying another render now with some settings gleaned from diandra's comment on deleting the upper eyebrow. I'll see how it comes out tomorrow morning.

Thank you Alain, you're certainly a very talented - and prolific - modeller. These look wonderful and useful :)

Thanks to all of you for the input. What the image doesn't show is that the lines are not just above the eyebrow, but all around it so it's perhaps not a shadow. The test with yazoo is still rendering so I'm not able to try anything else yet. I'll have another go later.

Gebe; Just been to the backroom again and it's sort of what I meant. I'm not able to get rosity's home page with the vue forums backroom frame on the left so that's fine.

Thanks for the quick replies; Djeser, good idea I've got yazoo/yoda myself and I've just set the box up to render again with the same settings using yazoo and I'll see what it's like when I get home from work in the morning. MikeJ, I'll try another transmap when the above is finished.

I've just had another look, and I see what you've changed. I think you're a victim of you're own excellence. If the backroom wasn't so good and I wasn't spending so much time there it wouldn't take 20 or so clicks of the back button to return :) It's probably just the way I surf through rosity but when I'm in the backroom or indeed anywhere, and want to return to the home page I just click on the rosity logo. When I do this in the backroom the home page is displayed but still with the frame on the left hand side. Hope you understand what I'm trying to explain.

I have indeed seen the new backroom, very good. My only comment would be that after I enter the backroom and get the frame on the left hand side I can't seem to get rid of it. I can navigate through the whole of rosity, from the home page to different forums still with the backroom frame on the left side of my display. I either have to click the back button until I'm at the page before I entered the backroom or log off and close the browser then log back on.
