Did I send you the cr2 I made with the 2-ways kick+spread JCMs? I can't remember now, it seems so long ago.
Yes, you did. Right! That's long time ago. It took me about few hours to make a good JCM. And I put few hours into 3D in a week. Now, you understand why I'm so concern about how many JCM I need to make.
With you descriptions, I think the 2-ways JCM is independent from the JCM that made for the 2 rotation directions it covers.

Hi lesbentley,
As you know from the current version of the Beach Volleyball Bottom has 5 JCMs on each side just for kicking; 3 JCMs on each side for spreading. The question I asked is related to that. I wonder if I need 15 JCMs on each side just for the "2-ways JCM"! It is way too many! Or I just need 5 or even less?
For the new version, I modified the mesh already, I hope I can cut down the number of JCM but still produce the same quality. I'm working on the spread (zrot) now. Just one JCM is not fine!

Hi odf,
I am using DAZ Studio 3. If you want, I can test it for you.
I think scaling may not be a good idea. I used it on my morph for Aiko 3 in the past. It works in DAZ Studio but not Poser. We need someone know how to "hack" the Poser file.

lesbentley, thank you for explaining the 2-way JCM. I think I got it. Now, I'm trying to put it into work. I wonder if the two directions (x-rot and z-rot) both with cascaded JCM, is it necessary to make the 2-way JCM "cascaded"?
Quote - amy_aimei: Your basicwear for Antonia looks lovely. I really like how well it fits and how it's just simple and elegant.
Thanks, the top is simple but the bottom is too complicated for me to make, may be it is simple from the users' perspective.
Quote - amy_aimei,
Where can I download the latest version of your Antonia Basicwear? I suspect it's the same place as the old version, but this thread is so big that it's getting very hard to find old posts. Perhaps you could put a link in the "Links to Free add-on Content" of the Antonia wiki, or post the files to the Antonia's Free Site, or here at Rosity.
I haven't upload my latest version yet. The top is done, without texture, but with the texture reference. Once the bottom is completed, I will upload it as a set.
I hope I can simplify the making of the JCM, which I can move it onto another active wear for Antonia. The next one may be based on my TYR max-back swimsuit or a yoga set.

I'm still trying to understand how to apply lesbentley's 2-ways JCM. I would like to come up with something that can be reused for another clothing for Antonia.

Thread: OT: Why not much activity in the DAZ Studio forum? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Hi josterD,
I'm a DAZ Studio user since the first release but I spent more time in Poser forum than DAZ Studio forum. For me, 3 major reasons, the most important one is DAZ Studio use the same contents as Poser, there is no sense to talk about something I did for DAZ Studio, since it can be used in Poser as well; another one is DAZ Studio is easier to use, therefore less technical problems than Poser; in additional, the people at Poser forum are so nice, they don't mind I talked about DAZ Studio there.
In fact, the same happen at DAZ Studio related forums hosted at DAZ.

Good news! I have found the fixes to the problem I've found the issue at the abdomen of Antonia 122, the spherical falloff zones are off-center.
I modified the jointX of the abdomen, I moved it back to x=0 and increase the x scale to 0.1 (10%), it works. The following is the modified section of Antonia 122's abdomen jointX.

Quote - That might be the effect of an obscure Poser bug...
I think DAZ Studio doesn't have this bug. If the same problem shows up there, it could be something in Antonia.
I'm using DAZ Studio 3.0.1.144. The picture I attached is a screen shot from DAZ Studio, not Poser.
If anyone want someone to test Antonia or related items in DAZ Studio, I can help.

I think I've found a bug in Antonia 122 during the process of improving the beach volleyball top. The top doesn't contain any JCM at this point. It seems to work fine. When Antonia in the pose: abdomen bend 60, there is a poke through on the left size but not on the right size, see the attach picture. I tried to find out why but don't know why it happened.
The latest test version of the beach volleyball top can be found at my Google site for Antonia http://sites.google.com/site/amyaimei/antonia, the file name is AntoniaBVTop-20100418.zip

To make my life easier for multiple JCMs, I reduced the polygon count of the clothing mesh. Then I discovered that the way the mesh design is really matter. It is not obvious if the polygon count of the clothing is higher than the character to be conformed to. Maybe, many of you are aware of it. Look at the attached picture, my new lower polygon count mesh for the top will poke through even with a very simple movement just because of the direction of the edges is at opposite to the edges of the Antonia's mesh.

I'm too busy at work, then too tired after work. I missed many pages of this thread.
Currently, I'm still working on the basic clothing. I tried to improve it. I hope there won't be any major change to Antonia's chest, abdomen, hip, and hip2. Maybe, I'm too obsessed in making a perfect conforming clothing.
Thread: Rigid Hip Solution? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I would like to suggest that you try to build a simple rig and see how it behaves first.
I noticed that if you have 2 groups that share the common border and the same parent, this problem will happen. I think this is why most of the skirts are very short or making with dynamic clothing technique, or having the DAZ's approach of morphing.

Quote - > Quote - So, what's wrong with ShareCG? Seriously... I don't see anything wrong with that site. And they are willing to host 2 large files of mine totally free! You guys know something that I don't? Lemme kno!
The problem with them is first they were a cool place to host freebies cause they actually payed the freebie creator a small sum per download.. I guess that didn't pan out so they stopped paying click through to the artists.. not a big deal, really, but then they set it so that you have to register for an account to download the freebies. I don't honestly trust them with my email after their history of changing the rules every year to suit their own purposes.
And yes, you have to register here at Rendo to download from the free section... but Rendo has proven themselves to be a reputable business and market place, not just someone trying to find a way to make money off of other's generosity.
As you may know, I'm a ShareCG user too. I put all my 3D stuff there. Now, I have another place, site at Google because ShareCG is too slow from my location, I lost connection to their site several times.
