(popping in) Kathye, For the Foleypro OBP file, instead of trying to import it, create a new folder in your Objects Library called Foleypro, then drop the OBP into it. I can't recall if the OBP has Bryce trees in it (Brian?) but if it does, I cannot import or export OBPs that have Bryce trees in it, but I can install them directly to the Objects Library and open them just fine from within Bryce. This might be what is happening for you as well. -darlisa

You don't have to use DS if you don't want to. You can still use Poser with Grouper or MeTaL Fixer if needed but Bryce needs DS in order to use the integration capability. And DAZ does have a 30 day money back guarantee. -darlisa
Thread: Bryce 5.5 - Getting figures from Studio to Bryce - Tutorial | Forum: Bryce
One thing I've found out on my machine that might help:
When loading DS from Bryce, it maximizes the DS window (I'm on a PC). When that happens, the center panel doesn't refresh so it looks like I didn't load a figure when in fact I did. To get it to show up, I click on the Minimize button at the top right of the DS window (the center button), resize the window if needed, and the center panel now works properly and I can see my figure. -darlisa

Thread: Problems with Daz Studio | Forum: Bryce
Did you post the message in the Bryce or DS forum? I rarely go into the DS forum and may not have seen it. I just posted to one I found in the DS forum asking some of those having a problem to try and install the standalone version of DS and see if they get the same error. -darlisa

You can reset the download links if needed. If you use up all the attempts, click on Order history, locate the item and click on the reset. It takes about 20 minutes and you'll get an e-mail telling you its ready.

Thread: Bryce on the shelf | Forum: Bryce
Yeah, Texas. There's one in North Houston but I've never been to that one so don't know what the decor is. Not worth an hour's drive to find out. I wandered around for an hour and a half and found a tin of Cashew Roca on the way out ...

The Fry's by me has a Space Station theme, which is appropriate seeing as how Johnson Space Center is a couple of miles away. Was a bit overwhelming just trying to find anything there though.

Saw it at the Fry's here in League City a couple of weeks ago ... was so cool to see it there.

Drac, please don't assume that anyone did a background check on you. Anyone who's been around the Bryce community for a while knows that you had the freebie available and its a perfectly legitimate question to ask what the difference is between the original freebie and the one you want to sell. I never ask questions that I don't feel are necessary to help serve the best interests of everyone involved, including DAZ, the vendor, and the users. Darlisa Riggs DAZ Bryce Coordinator
Thread: *** WARNING *** O.T. - Possible PayPal Scam - Please Read ....... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I get these all the time, most about PayPal and WAMU. I don't even have a WAMU account. EBay now has a message system that they use to send messages to you so any messages from them only show up after you log in. They don't send e-mails to your e-mail accounts anymore because of this.

To use the Turbo Importer, first install the TI to the Bryce 5 program folder. Then, you can do one of two things: 1. Do scene in Poser and save as a pz3 file or 2. Do scene completed in DAZ|Studio If you have a pz3 file, import it into DS, then do a File : Export or just export if the scene was originally in DS. Oh, you may need to set the bump setting very low to 0 or 1 on items as the DS export has changed the formula for calculating the bump but the TI hasn't been updated to reflect the change (so a bump of 15% in DS comes in as 120 in Bryce). Wait until the obj has been exported message comes up then close DS. If you're on a Mac, you may need to access the folder you saved the OBJ to and consolidate the OBJ, textures, bump maps, and trans maps into one folder. Open Bryce 5 and choose File : Import Object, find the OBJ, and import.
