Thread: figure with texture | Forum: Poser Technical
You cannot export the figure including the texture as the texture is not part of the character file. The textures are stored externally and the path to these textures are referenced from within the character file.
Thread: Post work Help. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It relies on a good MAt to start with. I, like most of the people here, use Photoshop ( with a lot of very good plugins).

Thread: Lighting question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The torch you mentioned does not cast light but your idea of using the DAZ candle works is a good one and will work. In answer to your second question: There was a Brazier in the free stuff section. If you do a search I'm sure you'lkl find it. Bear in mind this Brazier doesn't cast light either.
Thread: can v3 recognize stairs? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As Little Dragon says a walk cycle is just a walk cycle. 30 frames looped to move a characters legs and arms. Turning corners, walking upstairs has to be done by you, the animator. This isn't as hard as you think but you will have to familiarise yourself with the animation palette. I am working on a Poser animation tutorial at the moment and these are the sorts of thins I will be covering. Keep your eye on the forums and I will release it soon. Spend the time now getting used to basic animation and key frames. Have fun NeilP

Thread: Poser Won't Open After Downloads!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The parser error tells me you are using Poser 5 and the error relates to the names of files and directories. The error is easily curable by installing the latest service release from the curious labs website. This error is also documented in the FAQ's at Curious Labs.
Thread: Fed up with Hair Room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think therre are some valid points raised here but I can assure all of you that with a little patience and experimentation, wonderful things can be achieved. I hope my store is testament to that. Do you want more P5 Hair room tutorials?
Thread: No Shadow at all :(((( | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For each object you bring into poser there is a "Cast shadows" property but the one I am refering to is in the "Render Options" page. ... and by the way, shadows do work on the standard Poser ground plane.

Thread: Problem morphing multiple figures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
All these morph injections are set to work with "Figure 1" by default. To Fix: Try this. 1. Load your V3 character and rename character. 2. Select body properties and rename her from Figure 1 to anything else. 3. Apply your morph injection. 4. Load another V3 character and rename her too. 5. Apply another injection morph and you should be OK now. Maybe those guys at DAZ think you should only ever use one V3 in your scene. Yeah, as if! Have fun NeilP
Thread: Parenting a camera | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, you can parent any camera to a figure. Position the Dolly to your figures view and set the figure as parent. In your animation you should see what your character sees. Then during the animation, set a key frame and switch camera to "Main" and view your charater's reaction. I am currently working on a "Poser Animation" tutorial which will explain all these techniques. Watch this space for that one. Have Fun NeilP
Thread: Grouping props together in a scene? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Short of writing python code there is no way of doing what you are trying to do. Each of these props are a seperate entity and Poser does not have any grouping capability.
