The file`s back up here for now: www.sunscape.uksysops.com/Nikita_ballerina.ZIP Hosting means having the space on the www to store the files for everyone to access. It tends to get used up ... in my case, at an alarmingly fast rate! Enjoy ;-)

Melanie - And as for the Poser goodies, I recently went through the "new computer - but what about all the files?????!!" trauma. Just to say, it`s well worth getting a network link between the two machines set up, and transferring all your loverly Poser stuff to the new one. The cards were really cheap, and it was easy to set up. Just an idea...

These free characters are just GREAT! They also still have all the facial morphs used by Mimic ;-))) It`s very amusing to watch them lipsynched. Work great in the Walk Designer also. This expands the Poser variety pallette yet further. My very grateful thanks go to DAZ !!!!!

Yup... this is sad but true ;-) It`s Plan B then... over into MAX with MAxPose2, and lock it onto a trajectory dummy. Hmmmm.

Servos quite right. The mechanics of a quadrapeds walk cycle are very distinctive, and actually quite hard to manually animate. Larry - thats a great reference tool for anyone who is animating any kind of natural motions on a regular basis. I intend to hunt down a copy asap. Id planned to do that from first opening Poser2 ;-) How time flies... The animated poses at PoserWorld are SUPERB - Havent applied them to anything except the dog yet, but they look awesome on that. Its simple enough to string together the walk, sit, bark sequences. Looks grrreat! Thanks everyone.

I tried that Jeff... the poor animal ends up with great back legs, but is crippled at the front end ;-) Maybe I could have a look at the keyframes for those legs and play around. Thanks.

Rod, As Jeff says, its better to use .obj for the transfer - textures can be applied in MAX, but there are still some seams issues, even then. By far the best bet is to get MAXPose, by Konan. Its just released in version 2, and it rocks!! All textures, bumps AND transmaps are auto applied as from Poser, with no problems at all.
