I'm hoping to have time tonight after I get done with a project. I was kinda thinking about a one week time limit myself, but 2 is fair. :) ~ Rich

I agree. I'll start jotting something down if we decide to skip ahead. Would love to hear from you though Alex. :)

OK, (Sorry it took so long. Life got REAL hectic last week)
Keep in mind, I am not a writer, I'm a graphic designer. I would be more at home illustrating the story after you guys write it, but I couldn't resist the fun.
STORY----------
Maddox!
Her mind filled with a grey swirling mist with bright flashes of light now and then. From grey to bright vibrant colors, as if she were seeing the most incredible northern lights display she had ever seen. Slowly the colors faded back to grey and then to black. The silence and darkness took her.
There, in the clearing. Can you see them?
It was Myatas voice. Lydia woke with a jolt, realizing suddenly that she had been out for some time. The grass beneath her was cool and moist, the small rock that she had been laying on had left a small imprint on her arm. As she sat up, Arathon gently put his fingers to her lips in a gesture that was hard to misunderstand.
Be silent he whispered. There is danger ahead.
Lydia sat on the ground, leaning on her arm, suddenly shifting her balance realizing her arm was tingling from sleeping on a rock for too long. Mayata was kneeling nearby, her gaze locked on something in the distance.
Getting her bearings, she could see from where they were, a valley below them. The valley floor was dense forest, with a small clearing below them. She realized that this is where Mayata was looking.
Mayata turned to Lydia, I see youve joined us again. I offer my apologies if you were harmed. Many are not used to that kind of travel. Let me know when you are able to continue. We are not yet safe and need to move soon. Her gaze returning once again to the clearing.
Arathorn, there. She whispered, pointing towards something Lydia couldnt see. To the left of the alter. I make out 3 of them.
Arathorn nodded, Aye, Also one more over there.
Lydia strained to see anything other than a clearing in the forest. Now that she was looking at that point, she could see something grey in the middle, she assumed that would be the alter that Mayata mentioned, but to her it just looked like a large rock or something.
Wanting to know what they were looking at, she rolled to her knees and crawled up near them. I dont see anything. What are you looking at?
Mayata raised a disbelieving eyebrow at her.
Pointing again to the left of the clearing she whispered Right there. How can you not see them?
Straining once again at the distant clearing, Lydias eyes suddenly widened at the shock of seeing them. She knew now that if this WAS a hoax, it was a pretty elaborate one. She just stared realizing that she was actually seeing

:) OK, I'll throw my hat into the ring as well. I will warn you, I am not a writer, but I have a good imagination. :) This just looks like too much fun to pass up.
Thread: Doing research for a project | Forum: Writers
Thanks for the input on the search. Just did so, and was surfing around the web ring (I knew it couldn't be an original idea, but a web ring?? LOL) After surfing around, I think I'll withdraw my request for writers, maybe in my spare time, I'll make a go of it, or use it as a class project at best. It would give my students something to do to keep them busy. :) In the mean time, I think I'll go amuse myself with some of those interactive stories. (now that I know what they're called) Thanks for the assist ~ Rich
Thread: Mouse Utility which usefull for Poser.. check it !! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'll be trying this shortly. It reminds me of the game Black & White, drawing the shape of the spell with the mouse. (Or something like that) Looks like it could be a fun thing. (And best of all, it's free) Thanks for the link
Thread: Looking for photos from around the world | Forum: Photography
Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to those that responded to my call. I honestly can not put into words how nice it is to be able to meet such great people. (This is not in sarcasm, I have been recieving and responding in instant messages.) :) If ever there is a time I can repay the kindness, please ask. I.E. If you ever have a photo you want to put a person in, (or a fairy or dragon, or what have you) you need but ask, and I will do my best to comply. The project is moving quite fast now, and within a few weeks I will open shop at a street fair in my hometown (Olympia, WA to those local that want to come visit) Thanks again, Rich

I'm going to say no, (but I've been wrong before) Doing it in Vue deformes the hand? How are you exporting it out of Poser? Try a different model type, Wavefront OBJ usually does the trick for most apps. Just a thought.

I've found that P5 is a little harder to learn, only because it has a lot more options. I admit I've had P5 for a year, but I still pose and compose scenes with P4, get everything set the way I want, then save it and open it in 5 for the final render. If I had to mention my personal favorite difference, it's the focal distance in the render, so you can have the main model be in focus, but the background is slightly blurry, just like a real photo would look. The materials setting are the next best thing just because of, again, the vast amount of options you have. There's my two bits. :) ~ Rich Oh, and speed? The more detailed you want your image the slower it's going to be. Simple render, just a few minutes. Focal point, lighting, AA, etc, mine usually take an hour or two to render. (Compare that with Bryce! Longest render time THERE was 72 hours!)

hehe, there is that too. I kept to about 10 second maximum clips just due to render times for that many frames. That makes for a full day of rendering time.

I can answer that the cameras animate as well, so you can use the "Point At" for the camera to make sure it's always aimed at the subject, then move it along with the subject.
