Why are there photographs allowed in the galleries, AT ALL? What does a photograph have to do with 3D art? There are 5,000,000 other sites to post photographs on. And, like, peoples travel photos? And cat photos? Can't you limit the images to 3D art?

This is not a strictly 3d site, it's for art in general including photography. An example of other art being posted here: Over the years a number of people have posted scans and/or photos of their paintings, drawings and other conventional art.

The thread that you got the notification for was deleted almost immediately (by the member), so that's why it didn't show up, but I don't know about the other issue you mentioned.

IMO it is worth it. Since you're already familiar with Poser 10, the learning curve should not be hard at all.

Also, each version of Poser installs into a version-specific folder, so you will still be able to use any other versions of Poser you still have installed on your computer.

I'm checking with the contest managers now. I'll get back to you as soon as I get an answer.

The chips can be used. You just have to create the face in Poser using only what came with La Femme. No morph packs, no making the morphs in other software like Z-Brush, etc.

All versions of Poser 11 activate the same way. It activates automatically when you enter your serial number. You can activate it on up to 3 computers, and every 3 months you can deactivate it on any computers it was activated on, to enable yourself to activate it on a different machine, which is useful for when you reset your computer or when you get a new computer.

As to the differences between the Pro and regular versions, although I have the pro version I'm not sure what the differences are, other than the fact that the Pro version has the fitting room (to make clothes from one figure fit on another figure.

Hi, i don't want to deactivate it every 3 months. i want it to stay permanently activated on a non-internet connected desktop. I bought an 8 core pc dedicated to rendering. I will never connect it to the internet. the online reactivation gimmick has kept me away from poser for the last few years.

i just need to know if i buy the retail box version, i can permanently activate the software on an offline desktop.

You don't have to deactivate it every three months (or ever for that matter). What I meant was that if you want to take it off one computer and put it on another you can deactivate it, but you can only do that once every 3 months.

Once you activate it, it stays activated.

OK, fair enough, because I didn't need to and I did get the eyes to work eventually. Its just that it would have been better to be able to do the whole thing in Poser. I agree with BH on this, its not a good idea to mess around with these things in an outside program. I still think there must be a way to do this in Poser. See what Nerd says.
