That's not how it works, I'm afraid. Zygote only makes them available as FREE for that one week, after which you have to pay for them. You know, coins, ducats, bucks, shekels, DOLLAHS. Gotta keep your eye out and get them while they are free.

I think it might be a good idea but it would also depend on the number of people who would participate. I have trueSpace 3 and am learning it, but also VUE 3, among others, and it is all great fun and challenging, but running a business and (despite really loving the great software I have, I continually find myself DRAWING the old fashion way -- when I have the time. If there were such a forum, I would certainly read it, but due to above named constraints, really be not much more than a lurker/occasional commenter. Not necessarily a bad thing. Larry F
Thread: The Inner Demon. Study of expression in work. (Kind of a large image) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think that boy would be welcome to anything he wanted. He might be an inner demon but he sure looks ready to bust out. I very respectfully tell you he looks -- err, READY! From purely the point of showing off an expression, it looks dead on! Larry F

PhilC, thanks for that. In a bit I'm going to try my hand at making some conforming clothes. Will probably want to pick your brain a time or two. Very impressed with what you have done and do. Larry F

PhilC, would I be correct in thinking you use trueSpace for making your conforming clothes for Poser? I recently bought tS3 and have been learning how to use it the last several days when time permits. So far I like what I see. What version of tS do you have? Larry F
Thread: Whatever happened to Bongo? | Forum: Vue
On a divergent and completely unrelated subthread, but since Bill mentioned "A Vue To a Kill", my wife and I were extras on "A View To a Kill" back in 1984, in the scene where 007 is on the firetruck and it careens around a corner onto Market Street in San Francisco. We spent, along with about 50 others, AN ENTIRE cold night (October I believe it was) filming that 2 second scene (we were background passersby who stopped and pointed at an imaginary fire truck (they only ran it around the corner once and we don't think Roger Moore or Grace Jones was even on it) and as luck would have it we were in London when the movie premiered there (we didn't see it in the States) and took several friends to it after bragging about our "extra work" and, lo and behold, THEY CUT US OUT! Hah! We still hear about that to this day! Some "Vue"! (Back to A View to a VUE)

Thread: Poser VS Win98.... HELP PLEASE!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Diane, I have the 12x9 (or 9x12 if you prefer) and have had it about a year. I have to say I absolutely love the damn thing! As a hangover from Deluxe Paint days on the Amiga, I love to draw in the computer and I used a mouse for years, but about four years ago started having shoulder pains. Ergo the tablet. The ONLY PROBLEM I have ever had with it is about once a month (really) the tablet freezes up. At first this was very frustrating to say the least. After calling their tech support, which I found to be pretty helpful, I learned that the problem wsa the wacom.dat file. I simply have to go do the DOS prompt, delete that file, and reboot. This takes about a minute, so I've just learned to live with it. In all other respects the darn thing is a true blessing and works in every program I have, i.e., Imagine for Windows, Bryce, Poser 4, Word, WordPerfect, Excel, Animator Studio Pro (oldie but kinda goodie), Gloodle, Organica, Paint Shop Pro 5/6, Streamline, and the newest VUE3. I know several other people with these tablets in varying sizes and none of them has this problem, though I have heard others have different issues. In short, that is the sole "difficulty" I have with the tablet and I do know what I would do without it - MISS it like hell! Hope that helps. Larry F
Thread: Poser VS Win98.... HELP PLEASE!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hey Jack, I have WIN98 on no less than 4 machines! Have had Poser 4 on all of them at various times. Never noticed any of the changes you mention when I upgraded from 95. In Poser anyway. I have had other problems off and on, though, too numerous to mention, with various other programs, most noticeably a Wacom Intuous tablet that needs its dat file rebuilt about once a month, without fail. Strange, perplexing, and still sometimes pleasing creature is WIN98 (not a first wife, though I had one of those too). Despite all this, I can only advise you to perservere. Or change OS.

Looking fine. The movie's gotta be Great Expectations but she could have seen it on HBO tonight.

Thread: Poser Textures in VUE 3 - Exactly how does one apply them? | Forum: Vue
Konan, Thank you. I do not have 3dsMax but I do have Poser 4 and am totally interested in having Poser figures in VUE 3. Since I figured out -- HAH! -- er, REALIZED how to get the maps themselves into VUE 3, I've been just experimenting with different texture maps. Some of the details are becoming more apparent. All in all, NICE program, VUE3 that is. Larry
